How dumb was TT/Spanos Jr at picking players. This ranks up there. QJ, Addison ( great hands but off-field issues) and Flowers are there for the taking. NO ONE though the QJ would go before the other 2. AAARRRGGGGG!!!
Chargers showed last night that they are just short on overall talent. Coaching cannot make that up in this league.
    WHAT DO WE NEED:
    WR's for sure
    Catching TE
    DB's
    IOL
replacement for Bosa and Mack ( both nearing the end-Bosa just looks slow )
that is the sad part, there were other options and we took QJ before those other 2 guys.

Like many have said here before, it will take a while to rid this team of Telesco's ineptness at drafting. Sure wish they would have made a play on Hopkins, though.

I’m not just jumping on QJ when he’s down (right now being the low point and an easy target) but I’ve never wavered in my opinion that he is a below replacement player in the NFL with little to no chance of improving. I haven’t brought him up much since it’s not nice to be negative. I was secretly hoping they would trade him at the deadline while his stock might have been up to a stupid team that didn’t actually watch him play and thought his stats and TDs were actually indicative of him being good.

He might be the worst WR I’ve ever seen, NFL or college. He’s bad or very bad at basically everything, and even if he started catching the ball (which I doubt) he has so many other faults that are just not ever going to be fixed. No more than expecting a 6’3” shortstop from MLB to figure out how to become an NFL WR.

I can’t imagine why the coaching staff would continue to hurt the team’s chances of winning by keeping him on the field, even for one play. Would easily prefer Chark or Rice or anyone from the practice squad get reps instead and it’s not close.

Your faith in him is astonishing considering I overheard his Mom at the laundromat say she’s changing her name.

it was a funny comment from Icebolt, but you are right, QJ deserves another chance. even Travis Kelce had some horrible drops last season. when the team wins the game, the drops are forgotten. when the team loses, the drops become the focal point.

edit: i am not sure how many MORE chances QJ gets though.

You don’t see anything you like about QJ? How about the diamond earrings he was wearing in the game?

If nothing else he can be a decoy or blocker. I think Herbert will work with him to get some completions.

No doubt he is on a very short leash.

I think he deserves the chance to work it out. If this coaching staff can't fix what ails him then no one can and it's over.

QJ has shown slight improvement this season but he will never be much more than he is. He should be replaced at the draft and be pushed down the pecking order.
