I don’t know where to put this idea, but seeing Alt at left tackle felt good. Would the team be better kicking Slater inside and getting a top right tackle in the draft? Alt and Slater on the same side? Not sure if Slater would go for that. But for the team… starting all tackles came out of the coaches mouth before, this might be an easier route to that. Just throwing it out there, waiting for this playoff to start.

Nope. We currently have bookends at OT. Best to keep it that way. It's much easier to find starting quality OGs than OTs through the draft, FA or trade.Originally posted by Bolts4ever213 View PostI don’t know where to put this idea, but seeing Alt at left tackle felt good. What we need is QGs and center as our IOL has at times been exploited.

Unsung heroes: Troy Dye has done a solid job filling in for Denzel and Colson. Tony Jefferson coming out of retirement and giving us solid snaps. Even Jackson the guy we just signed played 41% of defensive snaps yesterday

I've liked Dye all season long. Early in the season, some of the plays he impressed me. He's one of several defensive players Hortiz brought in that I didn't think much of at the time last spring but turned out to be ballers. Poona Ford. Teair Tart. Elijah Molden. Jefferson, as you mention. Kristian Fulton.Originally posted by jamrock View PostTroy Dye has done a solid job filling in for Denzel and Colson.

Prior to the 2021 NFL Draft, there was talk that Slater would move inside to guard. I think he has put that to rest, and there's no way he or his agent will accept a move to guard when they're going to be in talks for a contract extension this coming offseason.Originally posted by Bolts4ever213 View PostI don’t know where to put this idea, but seeing Alt at left tackle felt good. Keep Alt at OT
Extend Slater the amount of the Wirfs or Sewell contracts
Get OG and Center in the draft

Nor should they. Alt's had a great rookie season but Slater is the more accomplished OT right now.Originally posted by DerwinBosa View Post

Hagland has him as the best LT in the AFC
Alt is strong
Keep them as booked OTs and fill in with OG and C. Who knows, Zion might play better at LG with a different C
