I still think it comes down to talent . Especially on Day 1 and Day 2... pick the talent and fill in with veterans if need be if you miss in the draft. TE is a long term need. Telesco whiffed two years ago -- this is a solid TE class, Hortiz cannot whiff on it. Andrews would allow a bit more flexibility in the first couple rounds perhaps but I still see it as a need. Dissley, Andrews and a TE from the draft would be a solid TE room.Originally posted by richpjr View Post
It doesn't but we have a lot of other needs that we could concentrate on. It will all really come down to who we resign and what FA from other teams before we know how many holes we have left to fill.

It is a need, but depending on what we do with Dobbins, Bosa/Mack and what we do with the IOL, those could be much, much bigger needs. Having said that, Hortiz said a couple of times he goes for BPA so it will be interesting to see what he does.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

I think Edge is a need even if Mack is back. I just don't see a scenario where Bosa is back. I cannot come up with a number that he should make for the value, productivity and availability he would bring. Maybe at most $10m but I think that same money could be spend on Baron Browning or somebody else that will probably be healthierOriginally posted by richpjr View Post

If Mack isn't back - his money will be spent on Dline so for me, thats a wash. Its just dollar allocation
Dobbins should be back - doubt he costs more than $5m AAV.
The Molden contract came in with a cap number of $3.7m or thereabout - very low. Granted, almost 8 and just over $7 the next two years.

Baron Browning isnt really even a starting Edge. He is more a depth guy. Not very productive. We can do better than that.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

New Offensive Asst Kirk Campbell coached/offensive analyst at Penn St while current FA TE’s Juwan Johnson, Mike Gesicki, G Will Fries, and WR Chris Godwin we’re all there.

I don’t care for the TE’s, but Godwin would be an upgrade. It’s just his injury history that’s concerning..Originally posted by Topcat View Post

But it simply might not matter cause this team needs another WR. Bad. Fries is a one year rental on a two year deal if you sign him. He’s going to get re-injured.
But he’s good when healthy.

Availability has to be part of the decision making process. Granted, still doesn't mean a player won't get hurt. Can happenOriginally posted by Jack Burton View Post

Godwin has had a couple major injuries- granted for the most part -- pretty healthy it seems

I think it’s another position that needs to be addressed in FA for numerous reasons.
I also see Oronde Gadsden II as a power slot - X WR.
He runs excellent routes, has really good hands a wicked double move, excellent change of pace and excels all over the field. Outside he’s a very dependable jump ball guy, and he’s really good on crossers and YAC. He’s one of the only guys whose 40 I care about cause it could really effect where he’s drafted.
If he runs around 4.50 range, he’s going to fly up boards.
The Chargers need to find a way into another 2nd or 3rd round pick…

If the Ravens would take day 3 pick for Andrews or better yet cut him I would run to pick him up. He's been a top 5 TE in production since he came into the league is 29 years old and can block and catch the rock. If the price is higher than that go FA or draft but for a low round pick I think you make the move.

I think think anything 5th round or lower - I would be good with for Andrews.Originally posted by el_jefe999 View PostIf the Ravens would take day 3 pick for Andrews or better yet cut him I would run to pick him up.
