Good man...welcome aboard! We just need to draft a guard on day 2 as insurance and sign a LG in free agency.

Has not finished 3 of 5 seasons....but triceps are not the worst injuries to recover from. This is built into the reasonable price that allows you to get a more talented guard than David Edwards for 10 million instead of 20 for Edwatds.Originally posted by powderblueboy View Post
it is not just the one injury, its something like 3 season ending injuries the last 4 years.
Two torn triceps and an achilles injury, has only made it once beyond week 7 in his NFL career.
With Alt/Slater's injury history .... I'd pass.
He will make south of 10 million ...not certain why a bad or good team would want the gamble.
You back him up with a rookie guard contingency plan, but he is only 26. If his injuries are behind him you have a stud guard, not an over paid decent guard

You could be right CBF. Just throwing a day 2 guy out there is also a gamble ... and you need depth.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

You would need to bring in a 3rd free agent guard (Zion?) ... Biadacz, Zion and a discount, defective product might be their limit.

AVT for RG
A day 2 pick for a rookie guard to develop and provide insurance...like a Rutledge for example. Or Brian Parker with versality to play center also
We should have a young developmental IOL anyways
I could be insane...i just like the talent and ceiling along with a good price...maybe an incentive laden deal

He has torn both biceps now. 1 year, 1.5 m non guaranteed is what id offer and have more depth for when he goes down. Not sure he is worth a roster spot.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View PostI have started my campaign....

Alijah Vera-Tucker
OG · Age: 27
A borderline Pro Bowl guard when he’s right, Vera-Tucker is coming off a torn triceps suffered just days before the season started. But that's not an injury that is worrisome long-term, so he looks like an outstanding buy-low candidate.
Verrett was good when healthy too just never wasLast edited by Boltjolt; 03-07-2026, 08:01 AM.

Both have proven themselves as team guys with versatility, just hard working players that have produced when given an opportunity, Patterson is a solid all round back, pass blocking, pass catcher, and can find space inside or outside...he probably just got vet minimum so there is zero risk here, Williamson they really must like because they rostered him last year over Vidal and others, they must've felt that he would wind up in Baltimore if they didn't re-sign him...Originally posted by jamrock View PostI like the extensions for Patterson and Williamson. Patterson has good burst and could be a weapon in McD's offense. Kendall is a good St'er and back up safety. my guess is drugs, probably dealing with some type of off the field issue...Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post
Idk what happened to that guy
Had a good rookie year and did a 180. Many drops and whatever else was going on. That's a quick hook whatever it is."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. You would need a thorough understanding of his season ending injuries ... they are all tendon ruptures.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

Tendons transmit the force of muscle contraction to the bone, allowing joints to move while providing stability and acting as shock absorbers to protect muscles from excessive stress.
That the nature of the injuries are all the same ... tendon tears ... tells me that he is too built up for his frame, and that the forces that his tendons need to absorb and transmit are too great for the strength of the tissue.
So, the issue is not just whether the tendon strength has been restored, it is also one of which tendon of his will rupture next.
All that savings for superior play means nothing if he is on IR.

Here is what someone on Reddit wrote:Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

Brian Thomas Jr.'s 2025 sophomore slump stems primarily from nagging injuries, including a high ankle sprain and potential wrist issues, which severely limited his production to 48 catches, 707 yards, and two touchdowns. Increased defensive focus, drops, and an evolving Jaguars offense that added Jakobi Meyers reduced his role.
If they get rid of him now, ... personal issues will come to the forefront

I like the idea of AVT but the injury concern is too much. It would have to be heavily incentivised, low guarantees... not a fan
I had the idea, that if Mack leaves, what about a player like John Franklin-Myers - he would be an upgrade from D'Shaun Hand.
Granted, still need Edge - probably 2 for Mack and Oweh
Granted, even if they keep Mack, can probably sign JF-M and a third Edge, cheaper option, like Ossai
Greenard would be fantastic but the cost to get him, like a day 2 draft pick - not happening

I have considered Jadarian Price in round 2.Originally posted by dmac_bolt View Post

My confidence in Vidal, JP is high.
It would require a round 2 overdraft to land Mike Washington, Jr of Arkansas. 6'2" 223# 4.33sec forty. Achane is more explosive than that even.
I expect McD's ideas to have evolved, based upon the emerging defenses. It is wise to question how much zone blocking concepts will be used.
But yeah Sadiq-MWJ 1-2 could happen.HowellER KlareTE FarmerOG M'baDT TollisonC 4.3.26

I am fine with this plan as long as you get Edwards. Then I don’t care if you have an incentive based contract for Tucker.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post
