People point to Adams 3-year development, I don't compare him to Adams but our own Vincent Jackson was one of our best receivers ever - he didn't break 1000yds until year 4. I've seen QJ workout clips again this off-season, mostly route drills focused on speed and crispness in and out of breaks. we shall see if the work helps him create better separation on a variety of routes he's struggled on so far. more separation will reduce PDs against him.
As for the rookies - if all of the glowy predictions pan out that will be fantastic, Q is depth. I love depth. they usually all do not pan out: frequently not in the first month or two of the season, sometimes not in the first full year, and the rare sometimes - never at all. Its reckless to put every egg in a trifecta rookie + aging vet recovering from injury basket. Even if they do all work out, the risk of injury still dictates keeping depth. Mdub will always be one extended lunge-contested catch away from season ending injury.
I'm not sure if this is tempered or bombastic either. seems common sense roster risk management to me. it is fun to live rent-free in Wu's head though, I can think of no greater TPB honor ...
