Also: Derwin was one of those players who received a warning letter from the league before the season started about personal foul penalties. He is a marked man; for the rest of his career referees are going to have a trigger finger on throwing the flag on him for any perceived foul. The umps aren't going to cut him any slack.

Kelce and his brother should have their new cereal branded "Cap'n Cringe"

Why is that the binary choice??

I'd like the balance we all craved last season. We had a passing game (somewhat) and no rushing game. We added a rushing game (against Carolina and Vegas) but lost the passing game. We'll need both to make some noise against greater opponents.

this, and we need to be unpredictable. 3rd and one = play action pass.

Nothing against a strong passing game, IF we have the pass pro to protect Herbie...if it's not there, better to lean heavily on the ground game, short passes and an occasional midrange pass, but I don't think we have the pass pro yet to allow Herbie to uncork the long ball...that's how he got injured vs. the Steelers...

No, but Kelce's career is most probably in ahem, "Trouble, Trouble, Trouble..."

When Steichen was here we didn’t have a good pass pro so he rolled the rookie Herb out. Perhaps we can do the same.
