Seems to me they purposely took their foot off the gas because of all the injuries. It was a luxury to be able to go conservative and not risk more injuries. Especially to Herbert and our receivers since they are already hobbled.

Herbert was barely touched after it was 23-0 and that was with purpose.

        100%

And garbage time comebacks don't mean much. You see them all the time around the league.

Credit where credit is due. Roman and Harbaugh came out with a plan to pass the ball more and it paid dividends. I like seeing the growth from them both. Offensively they showed what this offense can be in the first half. The second half was tougher but at the same time they were playing Harbaugh ball and grinding the clock. This isn’t Staley and win percentages etc. We’re on this ride and that’s what it’s going to be. Hopefully it doesn’t burn us too often.

Defense got softer in the 4th because of the lead, it’s frustrating as a fan but I understand the mentality. Hopefully Minter learns and can adjust play calling down the road to not give up so many chunks.

I saw Salyer out there most of the 2nd half, so there was that.

I don't have a problem with the defense loosening up with a huge lead with a few mins left in the game. I don't like doing it with as much time on the clock as we did.

The field goal post keeps moving... LOL!
Winning is winning. Are there things to improve upon, of course, but this team won against a very good defense and showed some improvements that needed to be had. I’m quite happy with this win.

im not expecting a Lombardi this year so I’m not looking for perfection. I would say a playoff game or two would make me extremely happy. This is a 2-3 year rebuild not a quick fix.

Good point. Hopefully they learned not to overrun the play when rushing

End of the day, winning on the road against a division team, always good

yes, there are things to clean up - but just keep grinding it out

next week AZ - - that would be a solid win to get thats for sure!

Finally a response that makes sense and is not bitching about a game we won.

                          Improvements today:
Offense scored 23 points (last 2 games were 10 each)
                          Penalties vastly reduced
