An afterthought that qb's drafted after Herbert were Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts. Did Telesco get it right? But in regards to Herbert's numbers, he and Kyler Murray have a lot in common. Both are capable of making the highlight film each week but neither can do it for 4 quarters. Year 5 of Herbert and he was 6-9 as a rookie, Staley was .500 and now we are at .500 again. Has he peaked or is he the Archie Manning of today-a great QB just stuck with a bad organization?

I would not take Jalen Hurts over Justin Herbert under any circumstance. I also don't think Kyler Murray and Justin Herbert have anything in common.

Why would the Rams want Bosa, and his salary? They just drafted a couple of D-lineman high this year. And Bosa has been just as unavailable as Kupp has been most of this season.

Would Kupp be playing mostly slot for us? If so, what do we do with McConkey? But it is the draft capital cost that I don't like. A 2nd? And Kupp signed a 3-year deal starting this season, for $80 Million. What would the cap hits be like for the next two years? Don't get me wrong-- he's a really good receiver when healthy. But I don't see how this pencils out.

If the Chargers make a move for a receiver, I think it would be for Mike Williams. Jets have paid the signing bonus and a good chunk of his salary, and I can't imagine the price tag in draft capital would be very high. Herbert and Mike worked well together before. Mike would have to learn a new system, but he and Herbert have some chemistry. If someone else signs him for next season, we could get a comp pick (probably not a high one, but it might be for the same round as the one we would have to trade to get him). So it's a low-risk, low-cost move. Mike may not be showing much right now, but he is still recovering from the ACL reconstruction, and may be better later in the season than he has showed so far. Better option than keeping Raeger.

The teams I could see realistically trading for Bosa would be Detroit or Atlanta and possibly Arizona if they felt it wasn't a rebuild year.

Unless they were desperate and willing to overpay then it's not really worth it since Bosa's stock is probably so low right now due to injury history.

We won't be sellers at the trade deadline. The question is are we buyers? Even if we were sellers, nobody is trading for Bosa. We actually need him as our pass rush is pretty sporadic.
