I made it to the fumble through the end zone before I had to get to bed. Doesn't sound like I missed much. If I wanted to watch people kick footballs I'd be a soccer fan. Unless they can pull off a trade that significantly impacts the red zone, we may just have what we have this year. 9-8, 10-7 at best. This isn't the final product of this regime. We'll have money come March and then we'll see what we do.

Hortiz needs to go out and trade for Mike Williams and David Njoku this week. Those 2 will help this team immediately. I think you can get Njoku for a 4th and Williams for a 6th. Probably need to restructure Njoku’s contract to make it work.

Herbert had plenty of time to pass on most snaps last night.

The chronic problem I saw was in obvious 3rd and long passing downs Herbert continues to hold the ball too long and gets hit or makes a hurried inept incompetion.

I don’t know if what Roman has called is the problem or it’s Herbert's decision but one or the other is to blame.

Arizona seldom blitzed last night but when they did Herbert/Roman too often didn’t have an answer for it.

I say this after every game..Herbert has to be coached to get rid of the ball more quickly in those situations. Rivers to Ekeler was a lethal play for years in these situations.

That's why we built an OL this year... you can either chose a T or WR... we didnt have two 5s, only one... next year we may have the weapons.... There are some obvious answers...

I'm certainly in on Njoku. I don't know how much Williams has left. He never exactly set the world on fire in the red zone anyway. I think we miss Parham down there more. We do have to make a move of some kind if we want to compete THIS year.

Here's the painful difference between the Chiefs and the Chargers (besides the obvious Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid's offense); That flag on the defensive hold on Fehoko does not get picked up. Chargers have a first down in the red zone. Can possibly bleed more clock and kick a FG to win with little time left. If there is time left, the Cards don't get the benefit of a flag turning a near desperation 3rd and 10 from their 30 to a new life 1st and 10 from the 45.

Refs would've also thrown the flag for the obvious hold on AZ's 1st TD. I mean, the holding was so bloody obvious I'm almost surprised they didn't call it for us. Almost.

You're talking like he can rebuild all the teams roster issues before the deadline, LOL...How much draft capital would folks around here be like "this idiot traded our entire future for some bandaid one year rentals that didn't pan out" If Jim doesn't get MWs it won't be for lack of trying, the jets no we have no leverage right now and a LOT of other teams are looking for WRs before the deadline, Chiefs, Bucs, Lions, 49ers, etc...the Jets might get a LOT more for MWs than what most on these forums have predicted they would get, and the price has increased since Ayuk, Godwin, Evans, and others have gotten hurt...I hate to say it but we might have to see what we can get out of Chark and see if we can't get QJ and the other young guys patched up and playing relatively soon, the pass offense overall has looked better the last two weeks too bad our WRs are so banged up, Fehoko, Ladd, QJ, Davis, Palmer held together with duct tape poor guy is wearing metal braces on his left arm and his right knee right now and how is he running routes like that? We saw Raegor get playing time over Rice and rice sat while in uniform despite so many guys banged up, why?

Nope, never said that I expect Horitz to rebuild the team before the deadline. I'm doubtful that he'll do anything that makes a major splash.

My point is that long-term, Mike Williams will only marginally help this team offensively. Herbert needs a legit WR1 and a someone sure-handed that can pretend to be a TE1. I really don't think that's a lot to ask.

Would he have had as much time to pass if Pipkins was at RT instead of Alt? We saw how bad that was the past couple of years. A new center and possibly another guard should be high on our off season shopping list as most of the pressure comes up the middle.

As for Herbert getting rid of the ball quicker, I suppose he could just throw a lot of passes away as nobody is getting any early separation at WR or TE, but that doesn't help anything.
