Nice from the " The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald ' . Didn't know Gordon Lightfoot was so popular in the US.

Interestingly ship went down actually 49 yrs ago yesterday. Nov 10 1975.

Too much iron ore, not enough ship.

There must be a football metaphor in there somewhere.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
      Let’s win one for Mack.

not necessarily.... this will be only the 2nd good to great QB we have faced..... so our defense has not been challenged by QB play.... There have been some wide open guys that the bad QB's we have played have missed....

This game will be a great challenge.... we do nto have to collapse for this to be a shootout..... both teams are going to score and have to score in this game....Chase is best WR we have played.... big fast and almopst uncoverable.... and Burrow can throw accurately....

He’s iconic and extremely popular! Only Joni Mitchell and perhaps Neil Young more so although there’s a long list of great Canadian artists.

And you can hear that song a thousand times and still get chills.

Interesting. I could see that for the Northern states. Didn't realise the SS Edmund Fitzgerald was a US ship too, built in Michigan. Yes the song is haunting. I remember it most from radio growing up in the 70s.
Gordon Lightfoot actually just passed last year, lived to be 85 quite old for a musician really and was still touring almost to the end.

FYI I think Justin Beeber and Celine Dion may have passed Joni and Neil now in popularity. For the younger crowds that is. Geez forgot about Shania Twain too though her heydey was 90s-00s.

PPG, yes. YPG, KC and Ari were better. Long ball is the major threat. I'll leave it to Minter.but I think our pass rush will make a difference.

See Popper article at The Athletic. Harbaugh used the song as a motivator.
                We play modern Harball.

Interesting. Article behind a paywall but here is another about it being Harbaugh's most favorite song as a motivator starting from his Michigan playing days.

not 100% sure who you are denoting the 1st great QB we faced, but he scored 20 points or less.

Chase is a great WR, I'd only note that in the 4 weeks before he broke loose against the Ravens' league-worst pass defense for 264 yards, 3 TD, he produced (last to first):

                    - 7 Rec, 43 Yds, 0 TD
                    - 9 Rec, 54 Yds, 1 TD
                    - 5 Rec, 55 Yards, 1 TD
                    - 5 Rec, 72 Yards, 0 TD

That level of production is survivable and implies he is not uncoverable.
“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

Quirky song to pick as a motivator. Maybe he's saying every team they face is the Edmund Fitzgerald and the Chargers are the storm? He's a strange dude but glad to have him

That's what I read in an article, he was telling players, be the storm. We are the storm
