It's like they say about us, Who have 4-6 Cincy beaten? Car, NYG, Clev, LVR. not a very impressive collection of scalps.
Burrow is a very good QB with good WRs. We're the top scoring defense. Strength vs strength. I believe that we can limit their success.
I like our offense vs their weak pass D which is allowing 220.2 ypg on avg. Their scoring D is 26th, 26.2 ppg.

Gordon Lightfoot actually just passed last year, lived to be 85 quite old for a musician really and was still touring almost to the end.

FYI I think Justin Beeber and Celine Dion may have passed Joni and Neil now in popularity. For the younger crowds that is. Geez forgot about Shania Twain too though her heydey was 90s-00s.
I was a big fan of Gordon Lightfoot and I couldn't get too nuch of his music.

Three years ago, we saw Ciline Dion in Vegas. It was a great show, her voice filled that bif theatre like I couldn't believe.

This song by Gordon Lightfoot brings back the sudden death of younger sister in 1982. She was 24 I was 25. We were only 10 mos apart in age - Irish twins. She was a TV news reporter and was killed on the job. I would hear this song a lot in the years following her death and it would always make me think of her. I still can't listen to it without a tear in my eye.

I think I told you my dad served in the Canadian army in WWII and was captured at Dieppe in 1942.

That's not a lot, given that it is a home game, the Chargers are healthy, and Cincy is 4 - 6.

Cincy stills gets a lot of traction for two recent AFC championship game appearances, as they should.

My thoughts about Chargers vs. Bengals:

The advantage the Bolts have-- if they have one-- is that the offense is progressively ramping up. It's not the same as it was a month ago. It's capable of doing more, as well as being better balanced, which makes it more difficult to defend. If, moving into the second half of the seasons schedule, the Bolts' offense has the Gus Edwards that we saw yesterday?!? Holy <expletive of choice>! Alternating them in the backfield looks like a great way to beat up defenses, AND tempting them to overplay the run.

So, I suspect that the Bengals are going to see some things in this next game that they didn't see on the game prep film.

After the beating that Herb took in the pocket in the first eight games, Jamaree Salyer replaced Pipkins at RG yesterday, and we immediately have a game in which Herb doesn't get sacked at all. I think we're on to something. If I think too much about what a healthy and well-protected Herb could accomplish over the remainder of the season, I'll need a drool cup.

Darius Davis had three impact plays yesterday, one on offense, and two on special teams. Getting him involved makes the Chargers better. Appreciably so. The way he was implemented yesterday proves that the coaching staff understands this, so we can be pretty certain that the staff will actively be putting Davis into the game plan each week.

IMO, the Bolts will have to play a really good game in order to beat Cincinnati... but that if they *DO* play a good game? They *WILL* beat them.

Cincinnati knows Gus. Faced him twice a year

If anyone finds themselves in the Michigan UP, the Great Lakes Shipwreck museum is AMAZING. They have quite a few objects pulled up from the EF including the ship's bell.

Turns out the captain WAS at fault...

The Chargers played 3 or 4 excellent def already.
                      Herby wasn't protected
CIN is not a good def
I think Salyer is an upgrade vs Pip
No reason to lose that game.

That's so sad. I'm so sorry. Music can bring out such profound feelings ...

                          Agreed.

I would be happy going 1-1 over the next 2. I think we have a chance to win both, however.

I like that we have gotten seemingly better every week. Jim is preparing us for these big games later and later in the year.

                          Let's go get it.
