Before these 5 games stretch the Chargers needed to go 4-1 or 5-0. I thought Bengals would be the harder team to beat and that they would likely go 4-1 with a loss to the Bengals. I thought the Bengals would be playing better by now. I wasn't expecting them to lose to Cards. The Bengals still are not playing great so the Chargers still have a good chance of going 4-1 before they hit the tough part of their schedule.

The main thing I want to see from this game is the O-line continue to improve. If the O-line starts to click this is going to be a very dangerous team going into the end of the season.
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

When the game starts either team can win. We just need to find Cincys weakness and exploit it. Hoping our injured CBs and injured Mack doesn’t hurt our efforts.
We just need to show up, by meaning really show up.

Well if the Chargers get to the playoffs, they will be playing teams like the Bengals, Ravens, Chiefs. So if we can't beat them now we don't belong in the playoffs or won't have much of a chance if we squeak in. That's how I look at it.

Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

          Well put.

This is the put up or shut up stretch of games.

Agreed. These are the games you will need to win in the playoffs so win some of these games. Just focus on the Bengals - take care of business.

While we are off to a good start and seem to be improving, we have to keep things in perspective. Our 6 wins are against the teams we SHOULD beat and the the three losses are to the three playoff teams we have played. We are basically par for the course at this point. What makes this week so interesting is the Bengals are hard to get a bead on. Sure they have 5 losses but 2 or 3 of those were controversial that coulda/shoulda gone the other way. Their coach has said this is a one game season for them now so Burrow and Co. will be hyper-focused coming off extra rest.

Are we more balanced overall? Seems that way but all that Cincy talent is approaching this as a must-win, meaning this is going to be a very tough game. That said, I like our chances...

Gordon Lightfoot actually just passed last year, lived to be 85 quite old for a musician really and was still touring almost to the end.

FYI I think Justin Beeber and Celine Dion may have passed Joni and Neil now in popularity. For the younger crowds that is. Geez forgot about Shania Twain too though her heydey was 90s-00s.
I'm gonna throw a rockstar shout out to Triumph, Rush and Loverboy! Lets toss in a random BTO while we're at it to capture all of the "working" for bands. Hailing back to the Joni/Neil era, I give you The Guess Who, leave it to a great Canadian to capture the essence of the American Woman!

For those younger kids, lets call out Sum 41, Barenaked Ladies, Nickelback, and Arcade Fire. eh ... I'm old.

You can only play the team on your schedule - you can't schedule better teams. Plus you can't control the record of the opponents.

Chargers are 6-3. And I can say, they have earned the 6 wins and they were beat in the 3 losses. Granted, the AZ game of the three losses easily stings the most (fumble by Reagor, dropped passes, etc) - But Sunday, they have a desperate Bengals team coming off a mini-bye. Burrow and Chase are clicking. The defense, Minter - is going to have their work cut out

That said, 6-3 - winning record, SNF - bring it. Beats the hell out of last year

As somebody wrote in this thread or earlier - the Chargers with Harbaugh may get beat - but they will be prepared better

I’m thinking 2 wins out of the next 4 is enough to maintain cautious hope for the rest of the season.

Less, the team is on a ventilator.

More, I’ll be grabbing the Pom Pom’s from Velo so I can lead the pep squad.

I didn't mind the bye week being early. The earlier they can rest with injuries the better. Then the fact that having to watch other teams while there's no Charger game on makes it feel not the same.

Disagree. One mistake can be the difference between winning and losing. We don't have to make the same mistake every game. One loss is one loss.

Harbaugh plans on going 1-0 each week. Cincy is up.
