It's similar to the argument between PR and Eli and rapelessberger.

Herbert: Poor coaching most of his career. 3 head coaches. 4 OCs.
Burrow: Quality OL throughout his career.
Herbert: Consistently low-ranked OL through most of his career.
Burrow: Strong run game support. Joe Mixon averaged 1018 yards 2021-2023.
Herbert: Consistently weak run game support. Herbert has never had a 1,000 yd RB.
Burrow: Supported by at least average to top 10 defense throughout his career.
Herbert: Below average to bottom 5 defense every year of his career.
Burrow: Top 3 WR corps through most of his career, led by perhaps the best WR in the league.
Herbert: Very good WRs in KA & MW, but not on the level of Cinn's WR group.

People are always going to compare guys from the same draft class and even guys from classes close to them but there should be an asterisk next to the names of guys drafted into stable organizations and played for the same coach in the same offensive scheme and all of that
I’m certain guys like mahomes and burro would have overcome everything Herbert has had to overcome too…"The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. Worth watching. This guy's spiel is that coaching makes all the difference in world of the NFL, he uses Harbaugh as an example. To open he plays a clip of Colin Cowherd saying Harbaugh is proof there are a lot of middling coaches in the league, and that some guys who are great coordinators just don't have the right stuff to be head coaches.

Cincinnati's O-Line is 28th in the NFL according to PFF. Only the Raiders, Jaguars, Titans and Patriots are ranked lower. It has been weak pretty much his whole career. Thye have spent big on aging veterans in desparation.

Of course I would rather have our man Herbert but the perception around the NFL is different. I am hoping Herbert can make a statement on Sunday night , and I feel he will in the coming years with Harbaugh
