I'm just saying that I've never seen a situation where a RB (or whomever) got criticized for doing it.

What's important, IMO, is what Harbaugh says to the team about it. I hope we find out.

So in your mind what causes the refs to make bad call after bad call, week after week for one team? The Chefs should have had 3-4 losses without them. The Bengals do not make it back into this game without the refs swallowing the flags for the Bengals D and O. It was the same for the Patriots when Brady was there. Is it just dumb luck?

Its just willful ignorance to believe there is nothing going on behind the scenes at this point.

Otito is my adopted Charger. I'm glad that play didn't result in him being the scapegoat for one of those head-shaking losses.

If officials call that land-with-your-weight-on-the-QB thing uniformly, nobody will complain. It's calling it inconsistently that drives us all nuts.

There was a play on the chiefs final drive where the receiver made a catch and took it to the ground - the replay showed he didn't catch. The NFL did not review -- -Chiefs got a break because if they had ruled correctly, would have been 4th down.

As for the Chargers - good win

WOW what a game, eh!!! I was sick last night so I closed the ipad and just watched the game. Damn was I nervous for awhile, though I NEVER GAVE UP.

The 25% of TPB brothers who held strong through thick and thin, knew we were never behind, and never gave up or gave in to imagined demons - my hats off to you. I was with you 100% and I too never gave up for a second. You guys were Harbaugh Strong, I applaud you. Not gonna name as I know I’ll miss a couple.

To the 75% Chargering bleaters - this game is a learning and building opportunity for you. Us 25%ers understand “why” you react as you do. It’s ok, you can learn from this experience and your errors. Open yourself to this possibility, don’t simply excuse and justify your mistakes, just as you call out for the team to do - its time for you also to look within. Not gonna name as you know who you are, you know how foolish you sound now that we won and you were wrong for 60+ minutes. Don’t despair.

Herbert had the best first half in his career. It’s easy to just expect that at all times, but it is not easy. He makes $50M because it as hard as any job ever devised by mankind, the absolute hardest job in all of sport. He did not play well most of the second half, but he came up huge clutch when it mattered most and he won the game for us. I will forever Ride Or Die with this beast, and strongly disagree with the 75%ers and all that you posted.

Q was not at fault for Herbert’s slight misses. He was not as big as the past couple weeks, but he’s still a good WR and still put some points on our board. He’s not a Higgins or Chase, sorry and yes that is true. Accept who he is.

I told all you guys about Ladd before the draft. I told ya in camp. I said give him half a season. He’s on track.

The biggest upside surprise of the entire season has to be Daiyan. Applause.

Was nice to see Derwin make a good play on the Hail Mary. I have to agree he is not the SuperJames of yore, not sure how much is what they are asking of him vs him. He had a couple plays that mattered.

Khalil is our Defense MVP, the heart and soul of that unit. We won without him, but he was missed. Hopefully the complete week off brings him back strong next week.

Bengals are the best 4-7 team on the planet, they played like cornered wolverines the second half. this game ain’t easy and those guys are very good pros getting paid a lot of money too. I saw a couple things that changed the H2 results, hopefully others get past their emotional journey and start posting actual details about what was different in the second half:

              - Hart. He was very much missed. Taylor is just not Hart when going up against Chase + Higgins.
              - Bengal Spy. They cut off the front of Herbie’s pocket, largely eliminated his escape routes that worked so well in the first half.
              - Jitters/Adjust: Herbie was not first half Herbie. He’s human. the second half looks did confuse him some, He’s got some tape to go study and learn from, I believe in him. But HE WON, which is more than Mahomes, Burrow, and a lot of others can say this morning. His untimely fumble extended the uncertainty, we were headed to score there. Fluke bad luck. His last drive was pure Herbert Gold. RIDE OR DIE! Stop wishing for a “better” QB - be grateful you have a great one.
              - Higgins - that dude is a beast. I didn’t realize how strong and long he plays or how effectively he uses both. I’d be down for a big THiggins FA signing personally.

Last comment while I read more from those on their road to psychological recovery, those calling for Dobbins to not score are 100% wrong. It wasn’t 2min left. It was 20 seconds. It wasn’t for a 2 pt lead, it was for a 7 pt lead. Every coach on our sideline wanted him to score. Every one of us that disagrees with you on this point fully understand your theory and we all understand situational football. You can have that opinion, don’t lecture us about your superior wisdom cuz you’re wrong. We won - we are proven right by the scoreboard.

Bottom Line - that was the most exciting Charger game for me in years. A statement game that we will win the close ones now, we are never out, we will not Charger. there are only 3 teams in the AFC with better records, 2 of them are 2 of our 3 losses, both of which were close enough that WHEN we play them again we can win. We have lost 3 games, all 3 lead their divisions. Those talking about we ain’t beat anyone, we also havent lost to anyone. We have a goddamn real NFL football team!

              ONWARD!!!

Not sure why Roman is getting so much hate. Herbert missed some wide-open receivers and he under threw QJ a couple of times. If those passes were on this would have been a completely different game. Herbert had a bad 2nd half until the last possession. His accuracy was off in the 2nd half. Those are passes that he usually doesn't miss.

"Imagine Justin Herbert with a run game"

Well, we still have to imagine it, I guess. The second half should have been a snooze fest while Edwards and Dobbins put it away. Instead, Herbert was the leading rusher. The Chargers don't have the passing attack to milk the clock or score 40. This coaching staff is a huge step up because they will beat bad teams most of the time and are 7-3 in a rebuilding year.

                  Fun stuff!

Conference record is huge. 5-2. If they beat the Bengals - - at present would own the tiebreakers over every team below them. Granted, they still play Denver. They do not play the Colts or Fish but two game lead in the AFC conference loss column.

When a player in Dobbs' situation *DOES* give himself up inside the 1 yard line? It's pretty much universally considered smart and unselfish.

This is a teaching opportunity for Harbaugh. I'm certain that he'll have some words for the team about this when they watch the film.
No, its universally smart when you do that with the lead .... making it statistically impossible for the other team to win.

Scoring a TD with 18 seconds left to take the lead is being criticized ... yikes!
