I figured it out quick enough and railed for his firing from that point forward.

Every team has circumstances to overcome. But at this point, we know who Greg Roman is, especially in the playoffs.

You'll eventually be on board too. Just takes you longer, I get it. I'll be patient.
LOL! Everybody figured out Lynn, McCoy, Lombo, and Staley... don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. The Spanni were going cheap... as usual. That's why I predicted they wouldn't hire Harbaugh. They weren't serious about winning.

Then all of that changed... they actually did the right thing and got a proven winner. But there was a caveat. Harbaugh wanted to be able to bring his guys in as coaches. Roman is one of those guys. He always was. Deal with it.

What you call "patient" some others call stubborn. These Fire Roman threads are pointless... a waste of time. He's not getting fired. Not after going 11-4 with the worst OL in the NFL.
    Protect the QB
    Run the ball
    Play great defense

Yep...these people who start up these threads should be ashamed of themselves! Terrible...positively shameful!

You must have misread what I wrote (go figure).

I said I was against the hires BEFORE they were here. I didn't have to "figure it out" as many on here are having to do with GRo.

But, eventually, they (and you) will.

And I'll pat you on the back and say "Welcome. We've been expecting you."

You were also probably right about Don Coryell, Bobby Ross and Marty Schottenheimer.
99 % of NFL head coaches eventually get fired.

A few in New England waited years and years before finally being vindicated about Bill Belichick. Look at New England now!

Of course, because all of those coaches that you mentioned were equivalent to Joe Lombardi, Anthony Lynn, and Greg Roman. Hahahaha...

Or, wait, maybe they are to you? You're posts are starting to make sense now.

Staley initially fooled me too. I remember it like a harsh light switch when I figured his bullshit out. Way too late for me, I apologized to TPB.

I’m not sold on Roman at all. I think the Chargers can win even with him if all the pieces are there but I don’t see him getting more out of less and I see a lot of more innovative OCs I’d rather have. I don’t like to settle for ok leadership when its obvious their limits create an unnecessary artificial ceiling.

Nutty is right that these threads are pointless. that doesnt make them shameful. I’m glad I didn’t start up one of them though, now

Possible...kind of like that Ray Lewis-led elite defense of the Ravens that won the SB in 2001...That D was so good they shut everyone down, and having Trent Dilfer at QB didn't matter as long as he game managed and didn't turn the rock over...

You'll one day find that ALL of these threads, including this one, are pointless (ie don't do anything to change the reality of the Chargers). Not a single one.

But they sure are fun. Especially this one!

Staleys biggest problem was he didn’t have an Aaron Donald like the year before when he was DC of the #1 defense in the NFL.

Some past Charger HC’s were in impossible situations with not enough talent and depth.

But the buck has to stop somewhere and fans have to keep it simple and single out one and only one scapegoat.

                        Right Boze? Right Norv?

I will be quite surprised if Jim cuts ties with Greg Roman in 2026, which I will be onboard with (continuity is my preference for Herbie). The OL coach will most likely be let go of if the OL doesn't hold up. Life is not always fair but this is the NFL where jobs are always in transition, the ebb and flow of it all.
