This team had a TE who could make plays in the passing game and catch the ball in Gerald Everett, prior to this past season. Who you and some others here on this forum denied. I know Dissly was bad throughout the game, but this is a play he could at least have made a conversion in.

The play-calling wouldn't have been bad if Roman didn't have McConkey and Chark go the same direction. That was horrible.

Blah, he wasnt anything to speak of. Hardly played in Chicago and likely will be released. I didn't want Hurst either so Everett wouldn't have been worse. At least he probably isn't hurt most the year.
Still, I wouldn't want him back and he made 3 times in Chicago what we paid Hurst. Signing Hurst set us back.

Imagine before the season started that in A PLAYOFF GAME ON 4th and 2 the skill players out there with Herbert are:

Chark
Hassan Haskins

Where should he have thrown it? Ladd had 3 guys around him and Chark was maybe two yards away with a couple of other defenders.

Moore didn’t bother me as much as others. Ekelers fall off and no other real RB was a serious issue last year.

Darnold made the same poor decision last night on the 2 point try but at least he was throwing to Jefferson.

Gro's playcalling sucked and Herbert's lack of improv sucked.

Moore isn't the story in Philly. Saquan's near record year is. They should have a better passing game with Devonta AJ and their stiff arming mfr of a TE

Screens and Swing passes are successful in accordance with Herbert's decision making and touch + RBs, TEs, WRs skill sets and IOLs performances.

OL, QB, OC needs these counter plays to work, to help in the blocking vs teeing off defenses.

Our OC knows how much he has to work with.

That limits his playcalling and success rate much more than fancy Xs and Os.

So TE.
Dissly goes back to Hybrid TE.
We certainly have blocker TE Matlock, Fisk.
Flex TE is the need.
Colston, Arroyo, others.

WR we need a very good WR opposite Ladd, regardless of whether an X or not, although X is preferred. But talented.

RB with receiving skills Henderson, Sampson, Etienne, others.

Mix in EDGE, IOL according to value and slotting.

Or much more likely, he isn't going to fire his hand picked OC after one year. He isn't going anywhere.
