I PRAY to ALL of the Gods.of Football that QJ's catch while getting crushed gives him the confidence that he is not going to die on every contested catch. That was a grown man grab. He survived.Originally posted by FoutsFan View Post
He also had 4-5 drops last night in the first half that killed drives. Are those on Herbert as well? Do the receivers share any of the blame at all? Even a tiny bit? Chargers are one of the worst teams with dropped passes this year, how come the guys trying to catch the ball get a free pass (except for QJ)? He gets hammered.

Fair enough..though I will give Dicker more faith than iffy, given he is 8 of 9 over 50 ...and the fact that kickers around the league have been nailing kicks over 55 all over the place this seasonOriginally posted by charger1_sj View Post
Not well within his range. 56 yards is iffy, especially outside. If you miss Mahomes makes you pay. It was not a do or die situation. Harbaugh
made the right decision. We punted, KC got the ball back and punted back to us. Unfortunately our offense was crap in the first half. That pretty
much tells the story of the game.

Good point I could be over looking, wind could have been a factorOriginally posted by AKFlyFisher View Post
Except, Dicker (and the Chiefs kicker), seemed to have problems kicking it into the end zone. There seemed to be wind. I assume during pre-game, Harbaugh determined that was too far for Dicker and thus did not want to simply give KC a short field. Pinning them was a better choice.
If the IOL was not so dreadful, I think this team would go for it more often. But man, they are dreadful. Pipkins' PFF grade has to be pretty low from last night's game.

There have been no free passes. The WRs get criticized and blamed weekly LOLOriginally posted by FoutsFan View Post

Henley needs to make that play. Whiffing on Mahomes there cost the the Bolts the game.Originally posted by jamrock View Post
Yep Henley needed to make that one play and we get the ball back with time to win. But Mahomes has been doing this for years to everybody.
Not saying Herbert has to be perfect but that's twice now that he's missed Palmer on long balls for TDs. Those are throws the franchise QB should make.

Every QB has overthrown a open WR, see it every week in other games. That was a big one and we certainly needed it but it happens.Originally posted by dmac_bolt View Post
when the game was on the line, Herbert drove the team for a FG to take the lead. He stood on the sideline watching the rest of the game. Mahomes did the same thing next. what the fuck are you even talking about?
your arguments are bad because you have no perspective on how hard it is to play NFL QB and hit a guy running full stride 40 yards away. If it was easy, QBs would be paid $5M/year or maybe league min and we'd have hundreds to thousands of great NFL QBs in every retail counter in the country.
Palmer didn't make every catch - ergo he had a critical mistake and sucks. Same for every receiver on the team - every one of them (Except Chark, who apparently isn't allowed to play)
Not one OL player made every block so each of them suck
No RB read every hole/gap or made the right cut perfectly on every run - so they all suck
Same can be said for every single defender on the team. not one defender made every single play. So every single one of them also suck
It is ignorant analysis to call out one incomplete pass and ignore the rest of the game. Herbie played well. Picking a play is the dumbest possible way to analyze Herbie's game.
My.one.concern is when Herbert gets hit lately he seems to get dinged.
He is as big as Josh Allen and it's amazing how that guy just gets up after runs and keeps going, even in blizzards lol.
