Right? this isn't a sleeper look-past Week 7 game, one week before the bye. This is the Playoffs, nobody is sneaking up on anybody imo. Its who goes and executes the best and has the least mistakes. For me its as simple as this:

    - If the IOL improvement continues and gives Herbie just that little bit more time like they have the last 3 weeks, he will carve them up and we win with some comfort. If they don't, it'll be a tight dogfight and we still could win, but its not for certain. The minimal analysis I did of HOU's vaunted pass rush concluded that most of their pressure comes from the outside. As long as Slater plays, and I say he will, we have got them matched up and then some. Then its how many times do the IOL not recognize and pick up stunts and blitzes. Last 3 weeks they have been notably better. Just do that again.

In 2024, the Houston Texans defense blitzes 33.4% of the time, which is the fifth most in the NFL. This is an increase from last season, when they blitzed around 20% of the time.

The Texans' defense is known for its pressure-based 4-2-5 base defense, which often results in defensive linemen in the opponent's backfield. They also spend a lot of time in nickel sets, running 70% zone coverage and 26% man coverage

We are going to have to earn it. 100% agree re Harbaugh. I'm confident we won't beat ourselves.

The Texans offense has been a bit inconsistent the last month of the season. The OLine has been shuffled a bit with injuries. No doubt losing Dell and Diggs hurts them on the outside. Have to see what Diontae Johnson does across from Collins. DAlton Schultz is a solid TE. Mixon at RB

Defensively - the secondary has some injuries though Stingley is legit. The DEs - Hunter for sure -- is a strength

I think your analysis is spot on. If the Oline can give Herbert time - I think the offense will have success. And i think that is why Zeke was signed. If Edwards cannot go - they want more experience for these playoffs.

They seemed to drop into a hole when the lost Dell. Collins is nails, key receiving threat. Schultz is a Dissly+, not a huge threat. Mixon is legit, the Chargers are going to have to get after him or he can cause damage

Stop the run - slow down Mixon
get after Stroud with a heavy pass rush
                Double up on Collins

Rattle Stroud, constant pressure and clog passing lanes. Offense has to bring it, pound the ball and chew clock. Take deep shots to keep them honest.

Not sure what is possible but I would not expect better air quality tomorrow. not many days left ...

For those living in a bubble, these wildfires are horrendous. Personally, I don’t recall any that are this bad. And I packed and was ready to evacuate in the 2003 (2004?) San Diego wildfire.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
                        Let’s win one for Mack.

When I was a boy in the '60s I used to have dreams about a past life that to this day I feel pretty strongly I did indeed live. My most recent past life before this life. I was born into this life in 1957. In my previous life I was a salesman in Chicago. I drove a lot. I was killed in an auto accident while driving a 1949/50 Ford Tudor. I was about 40. I also believe I was alive in the 1890s, in another previous life. I'm fascinated with that time period, and when I read about it or see photos from that era, it seems very familiar.

I have read about the kid you are talking about, dying after being shot down in WWII. He was adamant. It's so similar to my own experience.
