He appears to be a Harbaugh type player. Can't really tell you anything about his blocking. He sure looks like he's not afraid to throw a block though.Originally posted by Boltdiehard View Post
He’s not scared to go up and get it over the middle and he took some shots in those highlights.1) Cut Becton, Boz(ret), Dissly, DD, Fisk, and Dupree
2) Re-sign Tart, Hand (4m), Phillips (5m)
3) Sign the ERFA's Williams, Patterson, and Vidal (3m).
4) Sign free agents Cole Strange (OG-1.5 m), Whyatt Teller (OG-10m), Luke Fortner (OC-6.5m), Brunskill (OC-vet min) Leo Chenal (LB-5m), Rashid Shaheed (WR- 14m), Cade Otten (TE-8m) Greg Dulcich (TE-3m), K'Lavon Chaisson (ED 9m), Myers (DT-7.8m), Alec Ingold (FB-6m), Hendrickson (ED-25m), Seumalo (OG-9m), AVT (OG). I am sitting back quietly trying not to opine but just to follow Hortiz and Harbaugh's approach to building a team with a decent wide enough window to be a perennial contender with the aim and the goal of ultimately winning a Super Bowl. Last year's goal was to get over the cap hell and the mess which these two had inherited from the last FO/HC carousel. Lo and behold, with a weak schedule and some luck, the 2024 Chargers nicely outperformed expectations.
These 2025 Chargers are putting in place the building blocks toward the aforementioned goals by putting in place the anchor type of veteran players who will fit the team's schemes and their philosophies on both sides of the ball. These 1-2 years deal vets will provide the bridge for this FO's young draftees to develop into becoming the foundation of their team in years 3, 4 and 5 in addition to further additions and subtractions due to salary cap and other attritions.
I don't really care as to which player did exactly what on other teams as long as the player was not known as a me-me-me locker room "cancer" and as a prima-donna! Hardworking and serviceable players with gas left in their proverbial tank are always welcome, something which we really have not benefited from tremendously in the waning years of Telesco's FO. We welcome all those who decided to take the deal, show up to show us as to why we should "love" them as fans of these Chargers.
Lastly, since we have already got one Tyler as one of our TEs, getting the other Tyler in this year's draft is just a pipe dream

All these 1 year deals are just covering in case a better option doesnt fall to us in the draft. Stil Hortiz wants to build through the draft...butthese deals allow the draft to come to him. He is positioned for BPA. The Ravens way.
Nice little signing for us. We run a lot of 12.

He is really setting us up for some compensatory picks with all these short term signings.Originally posted by Fleet 1 View PostAll these 1 year deals are just covering in case a better option doesnt fall to us in the draft. Does anyone know? To get comp picks does the player signed have to be with the team 2 years? Or can you get comp picks from these one year signings?Originally posted by richpjr View Post

Is it not his thing or was he not asked to block as much? I don't really know how the Jets used their TEs in their offense.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

This is from over the cap for 2026 projected comp picks but don't how accurate it is. I really don't have enough experience with comp picks to figure it out..lolOriginally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post
