2). even though the chance of getting a player is low with low round picks, the more picks you have the better the chance of landing someone who will have an impact improves overall, even if you get nothing out of most of them.
Overall, i think the probability of adding a good player works out better with more picks. However, personally, even though I have not done the math, I don't think the probability between one approach makes a noticeable difference in the end.
