the Chiefs here. Their RBs are bad. Really? Outside of Jones their DL is bad, what? And if we lose what are the excuses going to be?
They beat us with bad RBs and a bad DL?
Lets be realistic. The Chiefs are not what the used to be. That doesn't mean they are all of a sudden a bad team just because they lost
the SB to a superior team. They are still the favorites in the division until proven otherwise. We need at least one win against them
because the division is stronger this year.
The odds of beating Denver and Las Vegas are not as great as last year. Division wins are
going to determine the winner and who makes the POs. Every division game is huge this year as the rest of the schedule looks pretty
darn tough. Not taking the Chiefs lightly.

look so hot. Due to Slater being out, our Oline looks worse than last year not better. Really have to see major improvement from Zion and Bozeman
before we decare that we got better.
Last year, we had Herbert and Ladd on offense and sometimes Dobbins and Dissly. That's a LOT different.
But maybe you're right and KC rips our O a new ass. We'll see soon.

The offense revolved around Mahomes, Kelce and an elite interior, and everyone else just fit in and did their job, or failed to do it. Now one of the spokes to that elite interior is gone,
and Kelce is in decline .. at 36, and given the number of games he's played, more decline will be very sharp, very soon. Who will step in to replace them as a linchpin? I don't see anyone.
What unit scares you now on their offense outside of QB?
On defense, it revolved around Jones, McDuffie and Bolton - but Chris Jones is the first ballot HOFer from that group, and is the center piece that has made the defense tough.
Jones is reaching an age where decline has already begun, which we saw last year out of him, particularly in the Super Bowl where Becton shut him down.
Everywhere else are guys that are average and replaceable.
If Jones, takes another step down, and no longer plays like a HOFer, which players scare you on that defensive line? Dana, Karlaftis, Nnadi, Tillery, Lot, Gillote?
Fulton, Chamari Conner, jaylen Watson, Brian Cook, Bolton, Chenal ... given time, who aside from McDuffie do you not want to attack?
They are rolling the dice on a rookie OT with a career threatening injury last October, and an oft injured cb from the Chargers, who wore down at the end of last season.
And they are banking on old guys reliving the past.
All are stark signs of a dynasty ending.
They kept on squeeking through tight wins, with big breaks at the end,
entered the playoffs with 100% health (minus Rice) and got favorable calls in one or two big moments against the Bills that were errant,
then got slung up and butchered by the Eagles in the Super Bowl.
All are stark signs of a dynasty ending.Last edited by powderblueboy; 08-29-2025, 09:48 AM.

2022 was the last time I thought they were the best team at the end of the season. 2023 the Ravens and Niners were better, they just both made a ton of mistakes when they played the Chiefs in the playoffs. Same thing last year, their expected win/loss was 10-7/11-6 based on their underlying metrics but they won a ridiculous number of close games. Had they needed to beat both Buffalo and Baltimore on the road to get to the Super Bowl, I don't think they would have gotten it done.

I believe our D is better too.
So, Let's play! Go Bolts!
