I am not giving the Chiefs roster a pass i just refuse to say it sucks and players like Chris Jones are old and done. Basically this dynasty has my respect to go with my hatred and I dont take them lightly, kinda ridiculous anyone does at this point.

I like our team but i am not cocky. This division will be ruthless this year. I hear some on here dissing the Broncos. I wouldnt, they are picked for 2nd in the division far more than we are. They dont have the weaknesses on the lines we do
after the last five days, you might do the gentlemanly thing and offer their roster a towel

Do not despair over one play.
        That's the key right there.

The Chargers had 151 yds rushing combined in the two games against the Chiefs last season. Dobbins averaged 2.3 ypc in the week 4 17-10 loss, he was injured and didn't play in the week 14 19-17 loss.

What the Chargers need is 150 yds or more rushing from Hampton, Harris, et. al. in Brazil. If they accomplish this, the Chargers will win, I am confident of this. It's why they made significantly upgrading the run game (Harris, Becon, Hampton) their biggest priority this off-season.

Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo is of course aware of this, but the Chargers' revamped run game is still unproven, so he has to game plan his defense for week 1 to prioritize stopping Herbert and the passing game, which is how he's prepared to defend the Chargers the past 5 seasons. So if the Chargers have a lot of success running the ball, KC's defense may not be totally prepared for it.

Greg Roman's offensive game plan will be for the Chargers control the ball with long, sustained drives to keep the Chiefs' defense on the field and the Chargers' D on the bench.

The Chiefs' offense that takes the field in Brazil next week is not going to be much different than the Chiefs' offense last season. Minter knows what to expect. The Chargers' offense will be radically different with two upgrades at RB and plethora of new weapons in the passing game, plus Keenan Allen. This is an advantage for the Chargers, if the offense can execute, because the Chiefs' defense won't know that to expect.

These games are usually very competitive and close one possession final drive score or stop type of games. Hopefully Chargers get the Win to start the season.

Here's wishing you are right. But I don't think so. The Chiefs last year knew were trying to run the ball and they concentrated on stopping or limiting our run
game and force us to pass, as that was our weakness last year. They will focus on stopping our run game again this year. The question is will our passing
game show up this year. If it's as improved as we seem to believe then we could win this game. I do believe that if they cannot handle our run game, then
we also win this game. In other words it's up to our offense, which last year failed.

They also know Ladd and will likely see Mcduffy on him. So it may be up to the other guys to step up. QJ is likely out. So that leaves Tre and company.
The big caveat, Allen. If on his game he can change the dynamics.

I think we make them look like the Chiefs in last years superbowl...
Chiefs won the Superbowl with 10 Rookies....

When you game plan an NFL defense, you prioritize taking away the thing the opposing offense does best. For the Chargers' that is Herbert and the passing game. The Chargers' run game hasn't been good for years, opposing DC's don't prioritize stopping the run against the Chargers over stopping Herbert and the passing game. Defending Herbert and the Chargers' passing game will still be Spagnolo's top priority for the Brazil game. The Chargers' running attack has to take advantage of that. I'm not saying the Chiefs' defense won't be ready to defend the run, they will be, but until the Chargers' running game proves itself to be dominant, defending Herbert will still be the top priority.

Barkley only ran for 57 yards in the SB.

What are you guys smoking that think Omarion is going to run wild over the Chiefs?

I'm not even joking when I say my greatest concern is to come out of the game healthy. Of course I want to win, but that field was brutal for the Eagles and Packers last year. The players were slipping and sliding all over the place.

I don’t see why Spags would change what’s been successful.

Crowd the box so he can smother the run and blitz Herbert so he doesn’t have time to pick you apart.
