This is why I want the give this first game to the Chiefs, its better to start slow and finish strong, that will also take whatever hype or self expectation pressure that we might have... I dont want a perfect season anyway.
The players and coaches will decide the outcome, maybe the refs might have some input too It doesn't matter one way or another what we want or think will happen, and same goes for the media...they'll stick to their talking points as long as they can...

the refs might have some input too. After all, this "is" the Chiefs lol. Wonder how many roughing the passer Mahomes gets called in his favor? We're gonna be all over him.. I think this game for as early in the season as it is,is going to be very intense...
I'm hoping the coaching staff takes care to show our online and running backs the Tillery tapes as a player they can target and also let Herbert get a reminder of his cheep shots... Pick on the week link whenever possible!
yeah, dunno…. personally would have Haskins in early to block, and if they’re aggressive, spring that shovel pass on ‘em, or a simple screen, and then ease in Omarion, Ronnie Harmon style…. if we’re good quarter four, then let him go Natrone on ‘em ?? !!
They don’t need to put Haskins in early to block, both Hampton and Harris are plus blockers. Omarion isnt a Ronnie Harmon 3rd down back, he’s an every-down back.
I wouldn’t put my #1 draft pick first string RB on the bench so I can play my 3rd string UDFA. There is nothing Haskins does better than Hampton, literally and objectively nothing.
If your satisfaction can only be met with more screens and outlet passes... then I think you've missed the point and will only be disappointed.
Huh?
At any rate, my satisfaction will come when either Greg Roman becomes a better OC (his passing "schemes" still have too many receivers running to the same part of the field at the same time) or he decides to resign again. I don't believe he's got what it takes anymore and I'm sad he's friend's with Jim. Love is, indeed, blind.

I think if anyone is going to get 'eased in' it might be Harris, he hasn't played all preseason and he could be rusty, my hope is he doesn't fumble the ball, a lot of times guys that haven't had live action for a while end up losing the ball...
All three of them will get carries and hopefully Roman will let Herbert pass to them too, we didn't see enough passes to RBs last year...can't wait to see what Hampton can do...

Yeah, I think Rman is just not a good play caller either...the best play caller Herbert has ever had was during his rookie year when he had Shane Steichen...
