Since you don't actually know yourself, seems like you could bear to be at least a little more tolerant of others' hypotheses. Your go-to response to an opinion other than yours is contempt and ridicule. Maybe we can align ourselves more with the Spirit of Chargeroo.

That's exactly what makes it such an embarrassingly candid taking-of-responsibility, and admission. There *is* no excuse, and it looks terrible. IMO, it's more respect-worthy that they're owning up to it. IMO, this is a total Come-to-Hay-Zeus Moment for the team and franchise.

They've been to-- what? Three of the last four Super Bowls? And won two of them? Teams can't keep their edge forever, and maybe this is the evidence of that which we've been waiting awhile for.

The Lakers had to get rid of Pat Riley after a string of championships, not because Riley wasn't a good coach anymore, but because he had nothing new to say to the players after, like, 12 years. He was unable to motivate them toa championship level any longer. He went to Miami, and coached successfully there. Fat Andy's situation could be very parallel to Riley's. Andy may have run his course in KC, just as he did in Philadelphia. We may be approaching the time where The Walrus receives his parting gifts.

This is, IMO, a far bigger thing than most people think. The decorated KC franchise just showed that trouble has finally arrived in paradise.[/QUOTE]

you don’t seem tolerant of my interpretation, so what. you say they owned up to it, nothing you talk about relates to an energy excuse. I say they did the opposite - they denied what actually happened which is they were out-coached and out-played; they instead try to hide behind a lame “gee, we didnt have energy” excuse.

“Energy”? Cmon man. This is the NFL. Can’t keep an edge for the opening game first quarter? The entire KC story all week was they were gonna come with an edge and prove they were still in the AFC elite after the embarrassing BTA they took in the SB. What - they decided eh fuck it, we’ll roll casual this week and try hard next week? Their very veteran team forgot what it takes playing an NFL game? Really? Cmon - It makes no sense.

You don’t think our staff out-coached them and our players out-played them? because i do.
“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

My adopted bolt Tuli got fucking held by the LG on the KC play where Kelce killed Worthy.
Kelce has crushed our DBs with this type of rub before, not sure how he mistimed his strike or mistook Worthy for a Charger, maybe the game is starting to get too fast for him and he got confused? no question that his blow was meant for a Charger player, he go his own dude instead...

this is the second year in a row while playing the Chargers that a Chief has taken out one of their own offensive stars, last year Mahommes blew out Rice's knee, and now Kelce knocked Worthy out of the game and potentially out of a few games...did anyone catch that play where Herbert scrambled for a couple yards and Karlaftis almost took Chris Jones out of the game? Jones was on the deck for a bit before getting up, that could've been really ugly if Jones' legs had caught on the turf...

Joe Alt was fine as a rookie right tackle, by the way, and it's not out of the realm of possibility that Hortiz can find another.

Yep, I said earlier that the Chiefs' LB's first step was forward most of the game.
Opened up the passing game and created a lot of space. Spags was afraid of Roman's run game.

I cant figure out how to embed a video for some reason. Help anyone?

I just wanted to point out on KA13's TD. That the upcoming MVP was throwing off his backfoot, and look at the location on where it hit Keenan. I don't know if there is anything better than a Dime or a Dot, because that thing was on a silver platter. Just perfect.

I don't understand all the folks on here saying Slater's career could be over or he may not be the same player because of his injury. You do know that the Chiefs starting left tackle Josh Simmons tore his patellar tendon while playing for Ohio State in October 2024 but has since recovered and started his first game last night. No reason why Slater can't fully recover.

With the new weapons, the Chargers offense will be hard to stop. Eagles have the CB's and the DT's to do it.
The Broncos have the CB's to do it... maybe not the DT's though.
We'll get to measure up against both teams. The Steelers always have a good defense.
Texans... a possible revenge game. They have a really good pass rush and good DB's.

Herbert as he slides for the winning first down. Sends Nick Wrong this selfie so he can frame it as he said 0% chance Herbert outplays Mahomes

Agreed. The “they came out with more energy” makes it seem the chiefs lost more than the chargers won. Chiefs have been one of best teams in September and historically Big Andy does well after bye games- the chiefs were outplayed. If Mahomes wants to feel better about himself , so be it
