It was huge because we didn't have enough good receivers especially on short, quick passes. Allen added that and it was a big boost overall.
I had no questions about KA and what he had left in the tank -- conceivably, he can play until he's in his late 30s if he wants as there are very few route runners that are even his equivalent; the questions surrounding him were really about his pay, and whether he was worth $15-$20 million per year. At $8-$10 million, I'm more than happy to see him return, just as I would be with Bosa returning at the same range. Bosa decided that we wanted to play for a "contender" -- I think he will ultimately regret that decision as the Bills are peaking, and Vrabel's Patriots will start to bite at their heels.

that slap was legit. i am still a little bit surprised that he stayed in the game. no complaints though.

you know that the team will have fun with that play in the film room this week. "Will Smith Tart"

If QJ can keep building along with Ladd and Keenan, defenses will have problems all year long against this O. Then sprinkle in some KLS and Tre, this will be a very exciting offense.
They are not needed at this time, but they should remain active, be part of the gameplan and get targets every game. Last year, Ladd was ready to be the #1 Week 1, but they took their time easing him even though he was needed. This year, they have a bit more luxury, but KLS should be ready to step in for QJ, and Harris for Keenan just in case.

I thought overall, Mahomes was gracious in losing. So was Chris Jones. The talking head experts on the major sports networks and platforms made all of this about the Chiefs not playing well and their MASSIVE injuries to their WR core. I guess they forget that pretty much every game the last 7 years against Chargers we had guys like Slater, Derwin, Bosa, Keenan, Herbert, etc out due to injury or severely limited. And when Chiefs won, it was because they were so great
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

You do know that the Chiefs starting left tackle Josh Simmons tore his patellar tendon while playing for Ohio State in October 2024 but has since recovered and started his first game last night. No reason why Slater can't fully recover.

I am rooting for Slater to come back fully recovered and think he can. I was just considering options, which seems to be a terrible thing around here. Lol.

I just wanted to point out on KA13's TD. That the upcoming MVP was throwing off his backfoot, and look at the location on where it hit Keenan. I don't know if there is anything better than a Dime or a Dot, because that thing was on a silver platter. Just perfect.
It appears you are trying to post a video from Reddit, and I don't think the VB likes it too much. The link looks like the actual video link is encoded to be seen only on Reddit. Just a guess.

                    Loved the win!!

                    There were several teachable moments.

A few drops by KA and Q

Poor clock management and play calling in Q2 - everybody talking about the Hampton stepped out bounds, but that paled in comparison to Herbert flipping the ball incomplete, and this is not Harbaughs first time in this area.

Coverage lapses by DBs costing the FG in Q2

just a few things to keep an eye on...

Should have gone for 2 up by 7 (I believe they even had penalty yardage on the Try!)

Edit: fuck ESPN, the league AND the Queefs

It is a luxury to be able to bring them along and not rush them into playing. I imagine there will be games where we want a 3rd TE so one of them will not be activated, barring injury. I'd guess KLS.

I was reading this morning on NBC that the computer models show the Charger win as a fluke, like it shouldn't have happened, the AI is still convinced that the Chiefs won 24-21...
