Of course it's a fuckup. Didn't say it wasn't. But Mathews' career is defined by two broken clavicles in one season and a penchant for redzone fumbles. I don't see how you can even make the comparison.

Some guys have earned the right to make a mistake once in a while; we all do. It's human. Gates is human. Muffews has made a CAREER out of untimely fumbles; this is just yet another example. Pity, too. Because, from the stats, it appears as if he's having a decent game.
