I worry that college coaching had an impact on him. He was a father figure and it was all about relationships in college. You can get away with that in college. PLayers are like sons to him. And they are not that good they can still be good in college. But not really evert qualify for the pros. Did coaching in college teach him to stay with guys too long? Because of the relationships? Does he care more about Roman as a friend than winning games? I just think the OL with get the blame. Roman will be fine. How do i manifest that fucker getting launched into the moon?

Run game specialist. Doesnt use his RBs on screens. Or in the passing game. Sad and such a gross misuse of an offense. Cant be hard defending his offenses.

Harbaugh should ask himself this simple question: if Roman is fired tomorrow, how many teams would be clamoring to sign him as their OC?

I was responding to the other poster who thought Alt and Slater would have been the deciding factors. As you said in the other thread I agree. It's more than that and fundamental coaching and bad plays.

The problem is our WR were rarely open and we couldn't run.

Yup, as much as I hate to see it - Herbert is a choker in the playoffs, a regular season merchant. His o-line was serviceable for at least 2 quarters but for the 3rd shot in the playoffs he shriveled under the pressure. We played much better defenses earlier in the Eagles and Texans. It's sad to see but im not making excuses for him anymore.

He has not performed well in three playoff games, there's no question about that. He's the quarterback for the next few years, though, until a decision will have to be made on whether to extend his contract or move on--probably after the 2027 season. So, we should focus on fixing the interior line and continue stacking the defense, which I think are the two most important areas to address. I also think Roman is gone, after what Harbaugh said in his press conference.

Like last year against the Texans, it wasn't all Herbert's fault, but he also did nothing to help the team when he had opportunities. I'm confident that the 2026 roster will be much better, with hopefully Alt and Slater returning to form, as well as a handful of necessary additions. If that happens, I don't see how any excuses can be made for Herbert if he continues to perform poorly in the playoffs and we don't win a postseason game.

I hope Minter comes back. He's a great defensive coordinator. Personally, if I were looking for a head coach, I would be concerned about him being ready. There's a major difference between running a defense and a whole team. I'm not sure if Brandon Staley has figured that out yet.
