We sacked Maye 5 times yet he threw a TD and got 16 points against our good D should of only been 13 due to the non call helmet hit on Herbert and had we got 3 points in the beginning perhaps even less points for the Pats based on how tight the game could of been. Vrabel had a good Defensive game plan. Everyone shit the bed in this game and I wonder how we may have of done vs Jax?

        Let me rephrase it :

Justin Herbert's center is Bradley Bozeman, his play caller is Greg Roman. It's a miracle that we were in the playoff!!!

No running game is why the Bolts lost. With no running game, their DB’s were able to anticipate and smother the receivers passing routes. The O-line actually gave Herbert time to throw quite often.. Either that or Roman’s passing attack scheme sucked. Roman isn’t getting fired as long as Harbaugh stays loyal to him, unless Hortiz gets the go ahead from the Spanos’ to do so.

Well, at least he’s consistent. He never had a plan to counter anything when he was the Ravens’ OC either.

It sucked when he was our OC so there’s your culprit.

When I saw this, I knew how the game was gonna end.

OLine has been erratic all season. I know we lost our starting tackles, and the current starters are not all-pro.

My take is that the trouble lies with the staff.

The 5 OL starters tonight performed better in previous seasons:

                - Becton had 3 solid seasons at the Jets, and here he's dead last among the league guards.
                - Bozeman is not Creed Humphrey, but he's having his worst season by far. In previous seasons here at the Chargers and previously at the Ravens, he had an okay performance.
                - Pipkins has never been any good, but again, this is his worst season ever.
                - Salyer is not playing that badly, far from his rookie season tho.
                - Zion Johnson had an ok season last year; this one is performing pretty badly.

Not to mention other linemen like Penning, who had a great rookie season at NO, Deculus, who performed acceptably at Houston, and he's been the very last OT in the NFL this year.

So, while we obviously need to improve IOL, we need to revisit the staff.

🫵 Mike Devlin and Greg Roman are the main culprits of this Circus 👇

There is only one good thing that came from this cancerous, dark, hopeless, feeble, pathetic debacle:

There is now NO POSSIBLE WAY Roman is back next season.
                  • Ownership will pressure
                  • Media will humiliate
                  • Fans would revolt
                  • The locker-room would rebel at another season with that loser
                  • Obvious facts will prevail

I’m not sold on Herbert, probably get a lot of hate here but give me a serviceable QB and better playmakers.

Let's see.....over 30 different offensive line combinations over the course of 2025, leading to 68 QB sacks of Justin Herbert.

Exactly what is Roman supposed to do? Go out there and block himself?

The have exactly one offseason left to fix this. If we still have problems in year 3 of Harbaugh, I'm going to assume it's a leadership problem, and start asking for Jim and Joe's head on a platter.

Nope. That would not do it.

                          How about?

We will get a new creative / innovative OC who can MAXIMIZE your talents.
