    Time Management

Major props to Mike McCoy. For the first time in LONG memory, the Chargers exhibited competent game clock management down the stretch of a game. It may be the first time since before the Schotty era, but certainly the first time since the  coaching era that the Chargers acted like they could find their asses with both hands concerning end-of-game clock management. What a major relief it is to know that perhaps future games will include a competently-run two minute drill and other end of game situations. And Cleveland is stuck with the "norv-pile" of shit clock mgmt.

    Way to go Coach!

First time ever we've seen the head coach let Philip completely be the Field General. He excelled. I expect nothing to change.

loved how Rivers ran down the play clock the whole game to boost our time of possesion and slow the game for Iggles.

Best defense is a good offense: The Eagles ran 53 plays in the first half against Washington in Week 1. They didn’t get that opportunity against San Diego. The Chargers' offense was methodical and efficient and controlled the clock. Philadelphia ran 30 plays in the first half. San Diego ran 34. Through the first three quarters, San Diego had the ball for more than double the amount of time the Eagles did. The drive that broke a 20-20 tie took 17 plays and more than eight minutes.

The Bolts have provided one blueprint on how to defeat the Chip Kelly offense.

the game against the chiefs where Rivers fumbled the snap in the final few seconds doesn't count?

Philip even had the fans booing him for draining the clock, even if it meant holding our position for like 10 seconds.

I didn't get why Dierdorf was so baffled at Chip Kelly calling those timeouts at the end of the game. Dierdorf acted like it was beyond comprehension, but he was clearly trying to preserve some time to give his offense a prayer after the FG.

                Of course, it is Dierdorf.

It's still only week 2. No teams have seen the chargers molasses no huddle either

Kelly seems like a smug jackass.

The problem was that it wasn't going to help. He called it on 1st down. All McCoy had to do was keep running plays. He gave us 5 more yards on a FG attempt. I'll take that every time.

Yep. The ghost of Andy Reid's timeouts lives on in Philly.
