McDaniel isn't getting fired but Harbaugh must devote him from "HC of the offense" and realize that he's not actually smarter than others. Still waiting for an intrepid reporter to break the story that Shane Day and Herbert mutinied in the second half and we saw the old Herbert. Going forward I expect that to continue

You’re right. That’s a weak excuse. Plenty of other examples of OC’s with less hitting the ground running.

Mike should have spent more time on what players were supposed to do instead of looking at Justin’s feet.

Nobody is really blocking anyone for real at OTAs or voluntary workouts. The biggest problem I keep seeing is the blocking.

In MM's defense, I would have a hard time figuring out what many of our guys are actually good at.

Nobody is really blocking anyone for real at OTAs or voluntary workouts. The biggest problem I keep seeing is the blocking.

It's hard to focus on OL when the ball is wandering around somewhere else, ain't it?
It also sucks that 4 of 5 starters Biadasz, Awosika, Slater and Alt are dinged.

I really want to see a healthier Joe Alt to go back on the left side and then give Travis Burke his shot at the right side. Lotsa people in here want beef, beef and more beef upfront which I am not opposed to but FGS we can't keep drafting all beef in the early rounds or else we will not have too many premium players at the skilled key positions! Many other winning teams do not have pro bowlers across their OL and they seem to function quite smoothly. While I do not deny the necessity for quality Guards and Centers to add to the Tackles, it is unsustainable just to draft everyone that high.

This argument does not exonerate Hortiz's gambles with journeymen and suspected goods but also I don't believe that he is some bargain basement coupon cutter. I mean FFS, he re-signed Slater to a huge contract, he brought in Becton at a decent contract. Biadazs's untimely exit was so unfortunate. Joe did more than what people would like to believe but Strange is just BAD and although he will have to own that one, bleeding McD is the culprit for bringing over his worst loyal players from Miami!
