      Yes it is.

Thats why Roman was fired and McDaniel was hired.

If it was only upgrading Center and Guards…..poor scheme and execution would not have been recognized as a problem and Roman would still have a job.

Roman was a burnt offering to the Paying gods.
We have no idea what would have taken place "IF" Slater, Alt, Najee and Hampton remained healthy.
After LAC reached the playoffs and Herbert was a punching bag for the NE defense, somebody had to pay.
My biggest complaint was Bozeman and Devlin for that clown show OL's lack of leadership and assignment integrity.
We weren't executing Roman's offseason scheme design after two of the main wheels fell off before the season started and two more early on.
Gro was improvising and not very well at the end.
And--- none of that crap matters. Mike McDaniel is the OC and we have a lot of new staff, several new players. (more to come)

man, would that have been amazing to see that really come to life....

and said it before, and will reiterate, that prolly wasn't necessarily Gro's all bad, albeit did get him outta the building, just like Staley, who again not sure he was all to blame, and.... it was time for him to go.

will also say that Big Jim coulda, woulda, shoulda done something about the Bozeman situation, not to mention nip it in the bud to start with, and he is pulling the same stunt w/retaining Pips, and.... it's on him just as much as any of the others.... he's got three more years.... that C- is here to stay until proven otherwise.

will also qualify that last remark, in that 'tis my opinion that Mr. Harbaugh deserves any and every mulligan awarded him, as we are dutifully looking forward to this here SB run, and perhaps another after that !!

Need to fill in some holes over in offense. Hopefully he will succeed!

I agree about Bozeman. He may have been an All American nice guy off the field but was well below average for a starting C on a good ball club.
I wish Jim had thrown his weight into getting a better OC for last year.

Certainly decent depth and hope we never see him start but he has potential to help the team.

Not agreeing with a C- grade on Harbs whatsover. Hes brought us 2 11-6 runs (arguably could have been 12-5 if we put our starters out there against the Donks to sweep the division). If not for the shitty luck of our probowl tackles gone on IR and our bigger OG hire turning into manure before our eyes I daresay we might have been challenging to have led the AFC with a good shot at the SB and sweeping our division is no small feat. Year 1 had major cap handicapping and year 2 the OL injury mess…to pull off 11-6 and build a culture that we havent had since Marty I daresay he is right on what many would have said they expected to be fighting for the SB in year 3. Our past 4+ coaches cant hold a candle to Harb at this point.

While Joe is getting roasted for not having a big OG hire i bet he has put offers out there but it takes two to tango and sometimes you dont end up on top in the lets go shovel out truckliads of cash game in early free agency. I believe we will nab another OG likely after a roster cutdown or after tye draft when the comp pick wont be penalized. I would be surprised with two OG types were taken in the draft. Im patient…yes i am.

This post is SO on point. Everyone was so stoked with the MM hire. You really think he's silently sitting in the cuck chair while Hortiz makes these OL signings? NO. I Just read that OC Register piece where Harbaugh definitively says Strange is the RT starter at this point. Says MM loves him and he and Badass are the starters. We will get another LG in the draft (and maybe another for camp post-draft). The IOL is not as big a problem as TPB posters would make it seem. The Apostle Thomas went from "Let's die in Jerusalem," to being called "The doubter." Many on the the TPB have done something similar with MM.

I've settled into this analysis and frame of mind, myself. I'd like to see a good player added to start at LG but I'm not overly sweating the OL situation today.

Slater is back and running full speed. Scheduled to lift tractors in May.

This has been a wierd free agency. Feels like a lot of big names remain unsigned...Bosa, Botonio, Zeitler, Clowney, Hill, Diggs, Cousins, Samuel, Njoke, Jonnu Smith and I am sure a bunch of others I am leaving out. And I know each of them have warts, but honestly so did all the players in the first wave of free agency. I haven't looked at data, so maybe this is just the way it feels? But I wonder if a lot of teams have adjusted and want to take advantage of signing such players post draft when they know their needs better and it doesn't impact other things as much. Kind of opposite order for how it usually works.

If the Chargers draft a second round guard who is considered pretty good and then sign a Bitonio, I will feel a lot better about things. I think we just have to wait until the draft is done and the second (or is it third) wave of FA is complete before we really gnash our teeth and rend our garments. Hopefully, Hortiz has triggers ready to pull on pre negotiated deals with some good free agents. At least we can hope
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

For the Chargers I see we're taking the patient approach. We'll see post draft what happens.

For 2026 I expect us to get more athletic on Offense and business as usual on defense. 2027 we should expect a partial rebuild to get younger on defense and business as usual on offense.

Harbaugh's grade was a C+ but it was one of the lowest grades for coaches
