Odd, because after he was hurt (which they claimed was a foot injury), I saw him walking around just fine on the sidelines at one point, talking and laughing with teammates. I remember thinking that maybe he wasn't that bad off, but I guess I was wrong. Unfortunate....

I heard that it was turf toe. I seem to remember hearing reading it in the UT.

Schilling is a guard. Don't read any more into that than that. But, I would be one to say that you don't sign a guard to replace a LBer.

I thought Schilling was an OT?

Anyways, as far as ILB we sure could've used DJ Smith last week in Tenn.

He was a guard for us when he played.

Put him next to Dunlap, and he can be the King's Schilling.

Schilling is a guard who offers the flexibility to play tackle in a pinch. He knows the team, players, offense and coaches. And he was cheap, costing only a ..................schilling or two to sign (that was for you, Mav). Rhinehardt reportedly has turf toe, which can be a very serious injury. It can actually end a career. But we don't know how serious it is and we won't know.

Fluker is practicing full and should play unless something else bad happens. I bet Clary suits up and guts it out. For all the hate levied on him by some fans, he is a tough and durable guy.

For that reason alone, I think we need to make every effort to resign him. What has killed this team more than anything the past three seasons (yes, more than Norv, or Special Teams, or Defense, or ScreechOwl's statistical analyses) are the problems with injuries on the OL. We need to find 5 tough, durable players who may or may not be amongst the best at their positions but can be counted on reliably to suit up and give it a plus effort every week.

He's signed through next season. He just costs us damn near as much as Vasquez.

Stinky, I'm pretty sure he meant Clary costing as much as Vasquez. So could you provide us with Clary's contract number?
