I am hoping for a waiver wire upgrade to OT depth and LB.

i 100% believe carrying 3 QBs with Rivers and this offense a waste of a roster spot we could really use. It will be interesting as they make the cuts, how easy/hard it is for them to stand on 3 Qbs seeing who they have to cut for that spot.

Every team needs more depth at OT. If, by chance, an OT makes it that far, what makes you think they would make it past the other 6 teams ahead of us for a waiver claim?

I still think we should trade for Ty Ndshke from Washington. He is better than anyone we have, is cheap. Supposedly Seattle almost traded for him around draft time, and now that their LT is out for the year are thinking again.

Tyrell Williams Refuses to Buy into His Own Hype

All 32 teams bypassed Tyrell Williams, a 6-4, 205-pound wide receiver whose 4.38 40-speed also made him a track star at Western Oregon, in the 2015 NFL Draft.

That mistake proved to be a gift to the Bolts, who signed Williams immediately. In fact, they were the only team who offered the wide receiver a contract.

After making the 53-man roster and seeing the field on special teams in the season opener, the Chargers waived him as injuries necessitated the need to sign additional offensive linemen. Luckily, the 31 other teams continued to sleep on Williams, allowing the Bolts to re-sign him to the practice squad.

He eventually made his way back to the active roster later in the year, and the rest is history.

Williams is fresh off a breakout sophomore campaign in which he became only the 15tha lot of drops. I had a big play that I think helped get me on this team, but I had about four or five drops. I had a terribleKeenan Allen
I'm not sure what this shows, yeah they cut him because they needed another position on the roster. That doesn't mean they originally stashed him on 53 because they didn't think they could stash him on the PS without him getting stolen at first. Both parts of this can be true...

I wouldn't keep Clemons, im just saying this based on what I think is going to happen. If I were in charge I would cut clemons and allow Cardale to be the backup to rivers and only keep 2 qbs.

some will be salary dumps, some will be changes to scheme. I expect there will be some help at both positions. Not looking at starters, but an upgrade to our depth which has shown poorly. Wether or not they fit our schemes etc, that is for the coaches to decide. I thought u were big on the kid out of A&M that just got dumped by Detroit and wanted to trade for him earlier in the offseason?

I have that in another thread, but I think Cyrus Kundjio is at least as good as Barksdale. He is definitely better than Hairston, so if nothing else he could be our swing OT.

Ty Nsehke is another guy I like, who can start in the NFL, but we would have to give up a lot more for him. He is cheap, so we would probably have to give up a real draft pick. But he is a much, much better player.

It seems to me that it would be smarter to invest roster spots to protection for Rivers so that there is less chance of him being hurt than in extra backups for him if he does get hurt. It's like they are betting that he will be hurt. I would think that a trade for O-line before they are cut is a better choice.

Depends in the OL and asking price. Age, system experience, health. If trading backup for backup, fine. But i am not big on trading picks for reserve players. 7th rd max.

OL is always the way to go when you can.
I would see who is available after cuts. Just because a player is cut does not mean they have no value. It could be system, the person next to them etc... But I am not sure where the team is money wise, but we cant break the bank for other OLs from other teams that might or might not work out in our system.

Lol, but we can't delete any posts so I had to put in some characters for it to work. Originally it just had a W in it. Don't know how that happened.

As cuts approach, many teams are looking to deal WR depth. One notable: #Chargers have had trade talks about Dontrelle Inman, per sources.

I'll predict that all but 2 of the players on the field for the 4th quarter of tonight's game will be visited by the Turk, starting about 8 am tomorrow morning.

Former first Rd pick Laken Tomlinson, a former can't miss prospect at OG. Traded to niners for a 5th Rd pick in 2019.

The amount of high draft pick OL that are busting these days is staggering. They used to be the safest pick in the draft.

thank the read option shotgun spread offense in college. A lot of OL have never played with their hand in the dirt before.
