And, since SDSU is an FCS school, could probably pick him with a 5th rounder. (Same conference as Carson Wentz from NDSU)

But, is he NFL Caliber? I don't know. He's not as big as Carson is...but he's put up better numbers than Carson did, in the same conference.

More than likely, the team will over-react and draft a qb high this year...no matter what. Because that's what the front office has done. Need a RB? draft Ryan Mathews or Melvin Gordon.
SDSU is FCS? When did that happen?

Our future QB... at least for the next 3 years:

From the MMQB... even TG would like this section.

Philip Rivers: The Game of His Life

          Just a beautiful throw.

The entire team played disciplined football against the Cowboys, you could see it in moments like when Allen cut wrong on that incomplete pass, owned it immediately, got right back up and don't think he and Rivers were off again all day.

He is and is being forgotten due this QB Class being loaded with talent.

Couple of more things. I think when teams interview him the maturity risk will be negated. Everyone comes with a risk. He will grow out of his and we have the time and role model with Rivers to help him do that. Think of Russel Wilson with attitude.

We shall see. I think more Colt McCoy than RW. When you add in the maturity issues, I would not spend a first on him.

He's only a sophomore. So I think he'll be at the top of the class next year. Or near it.

Not trying to be wise guy here but I am wondering if you read the article? Just trying to see if getting to know him a bit changed your mind at all about his antics or if even after reading you still have concerns? Just curious if "meeting him" so to speak might convince a few GMs to grab him in the first round?

Do you think Rivers can have 24 more consecutive starts?

Geno Smith starting in place of Eli

I just heard about that. I think most any QB would be successful against the Raiders. But Geno Freaking Smith? IDK.

read the article. Has it changed my mind....no. Actions speak louder than words and puff pieces. First and foremost, I am wary of undersized QBs and especially those from the Big 12 conference where defense surrounds D-yard. Who is the last Big 12 QB that was not a disappointment in the pros?I think his arm is only slightly above average as well. As I said, I see a lot more Colt McCoy than Wilson. I still question his maturity.
