You know Melvin Ingram did the same thing except he returned in the regular season itself and played 4 games games in the reg season (meaning he returned faster than Henry) and had pretty good impact that season.

iirc that was the last time the Chargers made playoffs.
Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:

      - 69-74 record
      - 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
      - Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
      - 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
      - 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
      - Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
      - Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

This ^^ I think you're right. The doctors cleared him, let him play.

          Agree.

I don't think he'll play every snap on offense, but when he's out there I expect them to use him as intended.

We lost the 2007 game because we couldn't score in the red zone. At the very least he will help us there, in addition to all our other weapons.

          • Lynn has already said he'll be on a "pitch count", but I hope that if he shows that he can play at a normal level, they'll turn him loose.

I think Bosa played 2x his pitch count on his return

That is what I remember. Even if we just used him on 3rd downs we have a hell of a decoy or the possibility of converting more if they don't respect him (and he is close to what he was)

Sounds like your knee replacement worked out well then? I remember you were a little concerned when there was previous discussion of picking up infections in hospitals. Congrats

Didn't get that. Just trying to get flexibility in it. Can't staighten it yet and I'm only bending at 95 degrees without forcing it....which hurts like a bitch when they force it down and the other way. But it's only been a month. IllI be glad to be off the pain meds that I'm still taking for now

My step father had both knees replaced (different time) and has gone from being able to walk 20 yards before needing to rest from pain to being able to walk the San Diego zoo without any discomfort (few breaks on the big hills).

You will get through it. He said the key was moving it and staying loyal to his rehab. You will get there, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Nothing specific on the knee, but he did say after the game he was fatigued... probably just not in game shape.
