    Fun season until yesterday.

I liken yesterday's game to either the January '93 31-0 loss in Miami in Ross's
first season or the January '83 34-13 loss in Miami following a come-from-behind
win in Pissburgh; Coryell's last playoff appearances.

We'll see how ownership/management addresses our roster and possibly
staff; I do not anticipate anything dramatic given we've won 22 games
since October 8, '17, including a road playoff game as underdog.

September can't get here soon enough !!!

Lots of fun moments, that's for sure.

I just can't stand losing to that team or dealing with that fanbase.

Spoke to a buddy of mine from HS who has lived in Seattle for the last decade or so, he said the reason Gus fell out of favor was because he wasn't aggressive enough, fell in love with his cover 3 soft zones. Difference was that they would still generate some pressure with their front 4.

I would think long and hard about bringing Gus and or Whiz back. I get that we've been one of the better teams in the league over the past two years, but I don't think we beat the Pats next year with this same scheme and players.

And at some point we need to be able to beat them, unless we just hope to not see them in the playoffs or have someone else knock them off.

I haven't read this whole thread, so maybe someone has brought this up...

I think it's being overlooked, that this was the 3rd road game in a row for the Chargers, and 2nd in a row going from West Coast to East Coast.

            That's just hard to overcome.
"...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

To the 2018 Chargers -- Thanks for the ride. Do everything you can to improve on this big step in 2019. Have a good draft, and get us some high-priced OL piece. (I know it's not normally your style, but we need to protect our QB.) Got two more years with #17 -- Don't waste 'em.

problem is they were outmanned playing man. Heyward had a miserable year compared to his previous 2, Trevor Williams was IR'd early and they had Michael Davis and squat back there except for King and James who had other primary responsibilities where you couldn't dedicate them to being full time CBs most of every game- nor would you want to.

When we look back on the history pages and see that the Patriots just advanced to their eighth consecutive AFC Championship game, it will seem like an aberration.

                      PFF LA Chargers‏ @PFF_Chargers
The #Chargers fell to the #Patriots on Sunday following another great season and playoff appearance. Top 5 grades vs NE:
                      1. Russell Okung - 76.5
                      2. Hayes Pullard - 75.0
                      3. Virgil Green - 71.7
                      4. Uchenna Nwosu - 70.1
                      5. Tyrell Williams - 65.6
4 guys here who are not fan favorites. Nwoso is expected to be good by us next year.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Listened to some podcasts and interviews today and Whiz and especially Bradley are getting absolutely torched by everyone for their game plans and for not making adjustments when their game plans weren't working. Sounds like our game thread!
