Gehlken was on with D. Smith, and said there was no indication. If he's outright cut, the big cap hit would be for this year, but after June 1, the big cap hit would move to next year.

Theres 1000 ways to skin a cat. I still would have taken Cooks over any CB left. I had him as a 1st round value and Roby/Verrett/Fuller in the early 2nd. None of those guys are complete CBs. Cooks is a set it and forget it player for years to come. Our Steve Smith based on how durable the kid is. Brown didnt work out.

Ive been pretty vocal about dropping Cox and signing a free agent CB. You cant go into this draft at 25 and expect one of the top 2 to be there. I think theres 2 CBs in this draft with 1st round grades.
