The falicy of picting and choosing the usefullness or accuracy of a data source like PFF or football outsiders is that one is actualy saying they know more than the data source when they are right or wrong. If that knollege existed one would not need those oppinion validators. Instead ego dictates that a source is used to validate an opinion when supportive and that same source is wrong when unsupportive of an opinion.

To correct the source first you need to know the data points and formulas.

Then you need to know all player asignements offence and defence for each play used in the metric.

You need to know the play calls offence and defence.

You need to know if a play was an audiable.

You need to kwon the players playing with injuries too.

Im sure there is more but just those are more than most fans know.

Riddle me this. If Clary is as dogshit as his grades say he is, why the hell wasn't he cut long ago to upgrade, especially at his ridiculous salary? They're basically saying he's only better than about 10% of the guards out there. If he's that bad, they shouldn't want him at all even as a backup at the vet minimum. There are guys on the streets that graded higher and would be much cheaper.

Or maybe TT, MM and Coach D know infinitely more about the intricacies about OL play over some dudes who compile stats on a website and some guys who like to post on message boards. You know, because they've studied, played, coached, scouted this for their entire career.
