I'm open minded. The guy seems to have a pretty good pedigree. We'll see how it goes. Preller is putting his own reputation on the line here, so he must feel pretty good about the guy. Time will tell, I guess.

I forget this thread exists sometimes but I want to say this...
maybe it’s because I never played baseball
my wife is 10X the baseball/Padres fan I am
but I read up on the whole controversy about Tatis violating some “unwritten rule” by hitting on a 3-0 count bases loaded, and I think that’s the biggest crap pie, possibly ever.
I believe in unwritten rules on the whole, mainly around safety issues if not exclusively.
but let’s not ask our pro athletes to take it easy
like people say, if you don’t like being hit on, pitch better.
I’m down with protecting players safety but players egos?
I can’t believe Rangers retaliated, weakest move ever. I’d be embarrassed being a Ranger or even Ranger fan
”mercy rule” culture has no place in pro sports.
go Padres!
SD CONNECTION
CLIPPERS
PADRES
CHARGERS!G-Ro knows.
