Note to newcomer Tillery. Don't be a bonehead again and come in and tackle down a RB being stood up short of the first down marker on third down.. Just don't. Your two other teammates had him short of a first down and were trying to keep him there until you bulldozed in and tackled him forward for a first down. Have some situational awareness dude!

He was in the viscinity for one of Bosa’s sacks but other than that, he was literally invisible the entire game.
He hasn’t progressed forwards one bit and has actually taken a step back perhaps.Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:
- 69-74 record
- 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
- Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
- 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
- 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
- Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
- Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

“My two young tackles, Tillery and Broughton, I thought they did a hell of a job stepping up in the absence of Mebane and Jones,” coach Anthony Lynn said. “They strained. The linebacker came downhill. The corners even came in and helped on the edges. Henry is a big back, but they did a good job against him.”
This is Broughton's time to shine.

It’s hard for me to be critical of any rookie stepping into the dysfunction that’s been our defense. I can try to stay objective when people point out specific deficiencies (appreciated btw) but I’m not drawing anything conclusive out of stats themselves
When opposing offenses are finding success in every way against our defense, it speaks to a larger problem than a few rookies not playing well.G-Ro knows.

Square had a good game.
And Tillery.
Tranquill deserves more snaps,
and a chance to get situated.
Kyzir likewise.
Uchenna is starting to impress.
Nasir's hammy will settle down just in time for TwentyTwenty.
We should have a very good young defense eventually. We do not play modern football.
