The glaring hole is at ORG. We miss a healthy Trai Turner. We may never see this. Look for a midround C/OG to compete with Quessenberry as depth, eventual starter.

Sure I would be happy with Creed or Wyatt or Trey, but round one is too early. Look for a weapon, such as TEs Freiermuth or Pitts. Or an impact defender.
We have weapons...I don't understand this mentality. We keep spending later round picks, Fluker the exception, and it gets us nowhere. I could understand a really good defender...pass rusher or CB...but overall, I want the BPA between the defender and oline...if that is a OC like Humphry, it will be long overdue. Personally, I like the idea of trading back into the first again...quality over quantity. We got plenty of young guys, and always do well adding UDFAs...and we are one of the youngest teams in the league. Would be perfectly happy if our first 3 or even 4 picks net two high quality, first round players, and even better if they are both oline. Herbie has plenty of weapons, and if we protect him, give him some more time....he will turn any scrub into a weapon. Look what he has done with Guyton, Parham, and even a few hits on that Tyron kid.

Still waiting to see if Turner and Bulaga turn it around health wise, and actually start contributing...but it's looking like I'm a trencher come next spring.
    Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

That is good...I learn from you in any case.

Specifically, the effectiveness of an offensive line is not just the product of five individual blocking performances, however graded.

Management of cap and draft capital are vital components.

Matchups matter. Yes Tevi will have problems with speed. So does Ramczyk.

Having an all star lineup at Oline does not necessarily translate into SuperBowl rings.

So let's keep at it with our Oline rage and our Oline ideas, because, yes, we can do better than TT---and there is lots of work to do.

But let's not get hung up on our abilities to have a thorough understand of this subject. I have had bullseye hits and complete fails at Oline evaluation.

PFF, with all their film study, they are still full of shit, too often.
I appreciate your takes as well, Woody! I learn from you, too. Keep the ideas, and prospects coming...
I wouldn't sleep on PFF too much. I think they do a pretty good job. They're not right all the time... but they're close.

I'm not looking for an all-star lineup. But I'm looking for a unit that can execute in vital situations. 3rd and short... able to pick up 3-4 yards on 1st down. Balanced offense that defenses can't cheat on.

And I really hate overpaying on other's FA OL...

It really hurts when you overpay for other teams FA OL and they do not even see the field.

We must have a counterpoint to the consensus Trencher narrative.

          Doubt me ?

Let's take our third OT, Pipkins.
          Are y'all really saying that...
given that Lamp is now starting,
we will not be equally patient with Pipkins ?

My prediction for LAC 2021 OT population: Bulaga, Tevi, Pipkins, Norton.
We do not play modern football.

if Pipkins was gonna show, this would be the year.

                I'm not exclusively a trencher...

I value pass rush and/or a CB in the 1st. Those are your premium positions (along with QB). Get them in the early rounds.

                1. OT
                2. DE
                3. OC

Trying to see if this answer by Popper makes any sense. I did like Quess at center last year with Feeney or Lamp at RG instead.
Why can’t they start Quesssenberry who is a natural Center and move Feeney over to RG?

                  Popper's response:

Feeney is the long-term plan at center and they want him to start getting consistent snaps there. Also they need an experienced player there because they are not asking Herbert to do a lot at the line of scrimmage in terms of changing protections and plays.

Makes sense to simplify things for Herbert.

The good thing about Feeney is he plays every game. The bad thing about Feeney is he plays every game.
