Thanks to analytics, we now know that a quarterback generally owns his pressure rate. It's one of the reasons why Miami's offensive line had exceeded expectation with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center, even as rookie Robert Hunt was forced into the lineup at right tackle.
Interesting statement supporting theory that the offensive line doesn’t matter. Ive never heard this before.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Will TT admit his mistake in overpaying for Trai Turner...? Will Turner be released (frees up $11.5 mil) to re-sign Lamp/Feeney/Groy. Still leaves us a little thin @IOL. Can TT be trusted to find IOL in the draft...?

Overpaying? TT traded Okung for Turner, Turner makes less money than Okung does, is under control for 1 more year at a very reasonable rate, and is 5 years younger. Most Carolina fans think we robbed them in that trade.

I was talking contract-wise. $9 mil guaranteed this year. I'm not even considering that he's played maybe a half game so far this year.

Both team's got rid of players (contracts) they did not want. However, Chargers could have simply cut Okung (and saved $13 mil) at the end of last year. $13 could have bought a lot more than Trai Turner...

I am as frustrated as any that his groin is still keeping him out, but the guy is a 27 year old, 5 time pro bowl guard. Not sure who you think would be better than that and was actually available.

I saw something about a foot injury with Spain...the old hoof is a bad thing to be ailing on a big man.

OK...got a question for some well informed oline gurus...it's about Tevi. Now, so far, he really isn't stinking up the joint, though I still consider upgrading the LT position an important issue. Thing is, Tevi can pass block, and is a really good run blocker...just doesn't possess super athleticism or length to be a shut down LT...but has anybody thought about him at RG? Not this year, mind you... but say we managed to nab a really good LT prospect in next years draft...that could be killing 2 birds with one stone, because I think he might make a killer RG...so where am I wrong on this? I have no faith in Turner long term until he shows me different, and unless we throw Pipkins over there at LT to give him another evaluation, I won't count on him either, so I figure LT and RG are issues this offseason...(honestly, I can't think of an oline postion we couldn't upgrade, but you can't fix it all at once...) So I guess what I am asking is, if we find another solution at LT, what about Tevi would make him NOT a consideration at RG? Tell me how I'm wrong about this...
