not necessary/wise.... Okung was already an injury concern before we signed him and we left ourselves exposed this offseason.... why repeat history by leaving ourselves vulnerable once again ??

and could see a rookie LG as a hedge against Lamp going down again, but seems to me he has shown enough to be a starter in this league if and when healthy (think he can back up LT too ?)?

can see Pouncey starting given that he has been extended (very sneaky) and that we have a semi proven commodity as a hedge behind him in Qbear.

not sure why we would resign Scho as Feeney is under a very affordable contract, and we could upgrade things via FA and/or the draft @RG ??

and despite mixed reviews, think Pip deserves to be given an incumbent roster spot unless he loses it to someone else, albeit can't see going into 2020 without two proven OTs, i.e. Whitworth/Conklin, or.... (I'm listening).

Popper's suggested starting five is just as irresponsible as the starting five that were trotted out/counted on for this season.

5/11 Fuaga, 37 Kamari Lassiter, 40 Sinnott, 67 Bralen Trice, 69 Cedric Gray, 105 Jaylen Wright, 110 Braelon Allen, 140 Joe Milton, 181 Khristian Boyd, Tylan Grable, 225 Daijun Edwards, 253 Miyan Williams

I'll puke if they resign Schofield.

I'll agree Scho kind of disappears on a lot of pass pro, but as bad as he is, he's an improvement over Feeney. Scho has allowed only 1.5 sacks so far, but I've seen him allow some pressures. Feeney has allowed 5 sacks. Let Scho test the FA waters, draft an OG, sign a vet OG, then see where we're at. If we need him as a backup, sign him on the cheap. But we do need to upgrade.

Scho is below average in pass pro and below average in run blocking: what is there to like?

Not a good sign if he is resigned unless they want him as a backup.

Feeney and Tevi are better fits for Pat Meyer's blocking concepts.

I project Pipkins to continue to be groomed to be Okung's successor.

Lamp will be healthy, plus he is solid in pass pro.

With scarcity a big factor, why do so many predict Okung and Lamp will be gone ?

That is one big leap of faith, brother! But I hope you're correct. When he's actually on the field, he looks solid.
How has Q been grading out? I don't watch him every play but when I do, he more than holds his ground.

I see him as a depth piece, possibly an eventual starter.

                Lamp's broken bones will heal,
much more assuredly than his knee did.

                Okung-Lamp-Feeney-Wirfs-Tevi

Pipkins, hurry up and get stronger core strength.

Why not Wirfs at RT? He's an instant upgrade over Tevi. And I don't like rolling with Feeney as a starter. How about:

                  Okung - Lamp - Pouncey/Qberry - Scherff - Wirfs

Without any FA signings( TT’s forte) maybe Lamp, Q, Feeney left to right?

All the roster cuts people want are knee jerk reactions to a season that failed to live up to expectations. Looks like the venting, ridiculous assertions, non actual football takes, and looking at one 8 minute highlite clip to evaluate players will continue.

Most/all of our players that have contracts that end after the 2020 season should be retained with few exceptions. When their contracts are done, they sign elsewhere, they will count into our comp pick haul.
