Mobile QBs have sure won a lot of SBs. I remember one pretty mobile QB named Young or Old or some shit like that, wiped the floor with us in our only SB appearance.

Those others may eclipse them, but the "new wave" of mobile QB comes and goes every few years because of the general shortage of QB, and the mobile QB never seem to take over. I have been a serious football fan since about 1978, and the new mobile QB thing as been an ongoing thing since then, Just the mobile guys never seem to make it.

If I was looking at a QB to model as the next QB, it would still be Russell Wilson, since he is the most mobile QB in the current NFL to have sustained success.

        Just saying.
I think the dual/threat QB is difficult thing to pull off. Need a very special player. Ravens may want to draft Jalen Hurts to back up Lamar.

The Mobile QBs who can get you 1st downs and TDs with their legs.
        They have been very successful.
Rodgers, Wilson, Favre, Elway, Bradshaw, Young, Montana, Tarkenton, Dawson, Moon, Kelly, Starr, Staubach, Graham, Unitas

I know it may seem players like Moon is just a pocket passer. And he was a great passer from pocket with pretty spiral.
But he also had 1700 rush yards and 22tds. You can Not do that if you are just a statute with no mobility.
All the above guys have like 1000, 2000 or even 3000 or more rush yards and 10, 20 or even 30 plus rush TDs.
Otto Graham had 44 rushing TDs. Bradhaw had over 2000 rush yards and 32 rush tds.

The more pure pocket passers, still need to make a few plays with their legs.
Brady has 22td (best QB sneaker ever)
        Brees has 22td
        P. Manning 18td
Even a statue like Aikman had career 1000 rush yds & 9 tds.

        1963 AFL Championship Chargers
        Mobile QB Tobin Cornelius Rote
        18,850 career pass yards with 148TDs NFL/AFL
        3100 career rush yards with 37TDs NFL/AFL
Most of Tobin's stats come in the NFL playing with Packers & Lions from 1950-1959.
Then he played in Canada for the Argonauts 1960-62.
Then Sid Gilman brought the old man in.
And in the Championship Title game Tobin Rote had 2 TD passes and 1 rush TD.

A mobile QB is a must, IMO.
Statute Pocket Passers who provide nothing with legs (not even a good sneak on 3rd and 1 at the goal line) they leave points on the field in redzone.
Drives end with sack or punt when they could not find an alternative way to pick up 1 yard.

Rivers has 3 career rush TDs. A lot of close losses. A lot of 8-8 and 9-7 seasons.
No AFC west titles for a decade. I think just a few extra rush TDs from Rivers in goal to go situations would have made a difference.

Titans winning, Steelers losing, Raiders losing.

Nice if Raiders and Steelers don't make playoffs.

Time to cut away from Cowboys-Redskins and show Eagles-Giants.

Edit... Eagles game getting out of hand too.

The Raiders got screwed on a couple of bad calls... One being a TD they called back.
I do not like Derek Carr. He is a wuss for one. Won't run for a first down when they need him to. Throws safe passes when he needs to be more aggressive, like a three yard pass on 3rd and 9.
But I hope Gruden keeps him. They won't win big with him.

But they did find a gem in Renfroe.
