NFL came up with a ruling entirely opposite our TEN debacle in
SF vs ATL.

The officials on the field ruled no touchdown for ATL, as time expired.

NYC said it was a touchdown.

It was about as close as Ekeler's TD,
which we know was ruled no touchdown by NYC.

I am not a fan of treating PED and Substance abuse the same way.

PED suspensions. Yes. And made public. Ok.
It's not a health issue. Even if It can cause health issues. Its cheating to get an advantage.

Substance abuse suspensions. No.
And made public. No.
Its a personal health issue, typically an addiction.
Should be handled privately.

I understand Gordon should and does know the rule and the consequences. So his suspension is justified per the rules.

I just don't agree with the NFL policy.
For addiction and substance abuses, I think the franchise that employs the player should decide how they want to handle it. If they are ok with a player who tested positive for weed playing on their team. They should be free to do so. And if they want to sit, suspend or release a player for substance addiction, they should be free to do so.

Nope, can't do that because it is not ok with the NFL and even if the Seahawks are OK with it, the NFL will suspend him and anyone else who gets caught. And that costs the teams money who signs them.
