When they extend his contract and pay him $40 million a year, they won't be able to surround him with nearly as much talent as now. Those rookie QB contracts don't last forever.

It sickens me how the Rams and Chiefs went out after a previous great year and signed free agents to help take their team to the next level and TT sat on his ass after we had the best record in the AFC. Every game minus the Vikings game (which was close right before half) the Chargers could of won if they went out and signed a few players like: Suh, Clowney, Ramsey, Matthieu, Beasley, Tate, etc. Could of gotten Rivers his ring.

TT believes in signing free agents from within the organization.
Yes, he has yet to resign a single of his draft picks, they might let Gordon/Henry walk, and their seems to be an impasse between resigning Bosa, but the organizational philosophy is sound.
The foundation for this team has been laid. Don't ruin the future and this foundation with these high priced buccaneers. KC will regret it 40 years from now.
