Melvin Gordon looked like he turned the corner in 2018. Running hard, breaking tackles, decisive. He didn't look like that guy against the Broncos. Maybe it was rust. We'll see

This may be ligit with Jackson he is our quickest running back and has the best vision, which validates why he can get through small creases that Eckler sees also, but he isn't quick enough to hit it which is a direct result of Jackson having the higher average. Jackson average would beeven higher if two long TD runs weren't called back.

Definitely bailed on the running game far too early against Denver. Not sure if that's Wiz, AL or PR.
Hell, we probably run just as much time off the clock with our passing game as most teams do with their rushing one. Plays are soooooooo painfully slow developing.

It was hard not to. The run game wasn't working early and the defense melted down right off the bat. We were down 17-0 before we even knew what hit us.

Denver had the Chargers just where they wanted them. Forcing Rivers to throw way more than he should while trying to play catchup.
That is generally a winning strategy against P-Riv and the Chargers.

Better get this run game in order or season will be over by mid way. On defense Bradley needs to change it up and adjust much earlier than 2nd half.

Just a smart attack by Denver O, their coordinator did his homework.

Defenses don't have to defend the TE anymore, so they can bring in more guys to play the run. Hurts both the personnel and alignment.

He always gets met by a defender. Gordon isn't good at avoiding them.

vs Lions: 25 rushes for 137 yards and a 5.5 average
vs Texans: 18 rushes for 73 yards and a 4.1 average
vs Dolphins: 33 rushes for 79 yards and a 2.4 average
vs Broncos: 16 rushes for 35 yards and a 2.2 average

The numbers have gotten steadily worse. Do you think it is other teams adjusting to what we are doing and we are not responding? Or are we just not executing? I know Jackson had some big runs in his limited carries but we have really struggled the past two weeks and I think we really need some balance on offense.
Tonight we had 14 rushes for 32 yards, a 2.3 average. Beyond bad. In our last 3 games we have rushed 63 times for 146 yards for a 2.3 average per carry.

I thought Lynn was some sort of run game guru. Those numbers are so bad.

So is the OL. Coincidence? No. Haven't had Okung , Tevinstill sux, Feeney still sux, Schofield was awful today and Pouncey is gone.

I think Justin Jackson is also sorely missed. Great vision.
