    Travis Benjamin to IR

    https://www.chargers.com/news/travis...AM9FvPX0091iC8

The Los Angeles Chargers placed WR Travis Benjamin on injured reserve, the organization announced on Thursday. In a corresponding move, the Bolts signed DT T.Y. McGill.

McGill returns to the Bolts where he played in five games for the team in 2018. He registered three tackles in a Chargers uniform. The North Carolina State product has appeared in 34 regular season games and has totaled 23 tackles, five sacks, 17 quarterback hurries and one forced fumble. He most recently spent time with the Washington Redskins.

Travis was actually hurting the team. Bad for morale to have a guy not catching balls or even trying to catch balls. They say he was on the team for his speed over the top. It didn't translate at all.

the fact that it doesn't specify why he's on IR makes me think that this is a benching with an injury excuse

If Patton is over his quad injury, I think he has the potential to emege as a better 3rd option at WR than Benjamin.

It seems fairly evident that his hands are "injured".

He was diagnosed with Feet for Hands disease. It is curable with the right treatment, but it can also be career fatal.

Early injury report is a quad injury (DNP), tho that normally doesn't put someone on IR.

His effort was horrible this year ...

Too bad they didn't do this earlier.

My impression is that TravBen is done in the NFL. He appears to me to have lost his desire to compete. We shall see.
