    Exactly.
    Sloppiness.
    Again and again.

During the games, I do situational football in my head.
    What's our field position ?
    What's the score ?
How's the game clock looking ?

Repeatedly, as soon as we get in FG range,
we do stupid things and move back.
    Penalties.
    Sacks.

    The Red Zone ?
    It's time to panic.
    That's the Charger mindset.

Many NFL fans are calling yesterday a
Top Three all time Charger Classic.

I stopped wearing my Charger cap to the sports bar-casino on Sundays, a couple of weeks ago. Sick and tired, after 54 years, of trying to explain this shit.

That was the weak part of our schedule. I am curious to see if the case will be the same when we face the strength of the schedule.

You know what's sad... If that were to happen by some miraculous chain of events, it might actually be more beneficial than winning the division, considering our home field issues.

This is the scary thing...... we barely lost to a bunch of weak teams and should have lost to Indy(who is a good team but not a great team)...... teams were not great and most were missing a starting QB...... schedule is getting tougher..... Chiefs will still likely beat us even with backup QB....... (they dominated us twice before on last game os season using only their backups even though Chargers played starters with knowledge that a win meant sneaking into playoffs)...../ yet Chargers players played down to competition and got our asses dominated by backups...... Reid's system is brilliantly simple and they have lots of speed to make it run.....

The reason Chargers always play down to the competition, is because all of our Chargers conservative coaches from marty on through Lynn all keep the offense under chains until we were multiple scores behind....... if we were playing a team that was struggling to score points, our coaches would tune our offense down....slow it down to ultra safe mode, not taking any chances, which keeps the total score down, total possessions down, and makes it so any mistake by Chargers gives the opposition the win..... so coaches force chargers to play perfect to win....what team plays perfect????

                    Agreed.
                    Put Phil out to stud.
                    Well, maybe not.
Rivers style and Lynn's philosophy does not meld.
We need to pick the right QB,
and he might be a lefty.

Same with McCoy his last year.

I've always said that a big part is unknowable, that is, does the HC still have the trust of the players? We just don't know.

But finding a 12 win coach with a playoff record is tough. KC fans right now SWEAR that Reid is shit rotten terrible and keeping them from success.
McCoy should have been fired long before his last year.

BTW Jim Harbaugh May be available and he certainly fills the requirement of 12 wins and a pretty good playoff record.

And the replacement doesn’t have to be a 12 win coach, just someone without such flawed way of coaching than Lynn. Just listen to his postgame comments itself and it’s easy to see why he was a position coach for most of his career and barely a coordinator for one year before coming here.
Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:

                          - 69-74 record
                          - 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
                          - Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
                          - 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
                          - 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
                          - Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
                          - Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games
