But, given the sad state of our offensive line and the likelihood that Lynn is going to call the plays, I expect even less creativity and a stubborn insistence on trying to run even more, even when it isn't working. How often do desperate, mid-season changes actually work out?
the good news is that if the offensive ineptitude continues, then we can get rid of Lynn also.......only solution is to let Rivers call his own plays......

Whiz couldn't get thew running game going without blocking - maybe the next guy up can figure out how play without blocking

I didn't think there would be a move until after the bye, because 'chargers'. However, the next three games are make or break for the division. The safe guess is that Lynn will call plays, and to balance him, the WR coach Phil McGeoghan will be "Shelmoned".

Interesting.....This feels like a desperate move by a management team that has been known to be conservative to say the least.Very surprised at this.

This move will determine the fate of Lynn's tenure with the Chargers, and possibly his career as a head coach. Will the offense open up and turn the season around, or will we go even more conservative with the run and put an end to Rivers' career. Tune in next Sunday to find out.

he is not statistically part of the problem but for anyone watching the plays we call in the situations we call them in its clear that wiz was clueless or being over ruled by Lynn...... a team with Rivers at QB should be averaging over 30 points per game.......

Whenever we have first and goal at the 9 or 10, we are already in FG range yet Chargers will run the ball twice for little gain and then call a pass play where all the receivers are running routes outside the end zone..... against bears, we had one series where no Chargers receivers were sent into end zone even as decoys????....... and therefore no bear defenders were there either....which is why we got stuffed......

wiz used to call reverses in red zone that would lose big yardage.....
wiz used to call deep hand offs on short yardage situations.... losing yardage..... and games.....
wiz used to routinely call draw plays in goal line situations which usually just lost yards....... he thought he would fool the defenses?..... but it only happened one game with woodhead....
wiz used to run a lot of deep handoffs or draws on 3rd or 4th and 1..... like he was actually going to fool someone.....

I do not think anything happens to Lynn after this season, no matter what happens the rest of the year.

If we are going to go all in with Rivers, then FFS please go ALL IN with Rivers and let Philip do the most Phlippy of Philip things.

Let’s either step up, start to score some fucking points and make a run and knock off the scared, unaccountable bullshit or let’s all go down in flames and drown with the ship.

I’m grabbing my life vest. And my popcorn. GO BOLTS!!
Agree. Just let PR call the plays

If Whiz and Rivers have a disconnect, or if Whiz incorrectly claimed we were good to go with the oline earlier this year, or if he has been the deciding factor behind our unimaginative play calling...

Then this was a good move.

Somehow I think this was more likely a change for the sake of change. Maybe that will work too...but with this oline, we need a whole new game plan. I am skeptical Lynn or anybody leftover will have such to offer. We'll see...
                    Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

Would you really be surprised if we have first and goal from the 9 or 10 to now try to run 3 straight times? After all, Lynn is the one defending the Gordon run with the old if you can rush for a yard you don't deserve to win. I expect we turtle up even more if he calls the plays.
